Why do people put stuff on their tradelists that ARENT for trade?

Last edited by a moderator:
i mentioned that in the site feedback forum and one of the mods said that doing that was against the rules and to report offenders if you see it. also im with you that kind of shit is very annoying.

Must have missed that discussion....Tired of doing a search for a game I want and finding a thread with it only to have them say "Not for trade, still playing" BS on it....

While Im at it....people that want trades to be fair make some of the worst offers ever....Theyve got older games they wanna push off for newer stuff and when you look at their list, theyre all about wanting newer games for their newer games etc....f'n jokers.
Agreed. Also, people that post video game related discussions in the non-video game discussion forum
Wow...you got me....Scorch'd........Considering my main gripe was about STUFF in general....posted on tradelists that arent for trade...hang me at high noon for using video game as an example in a later post...

People that drive with 1 headlight and instead of sucking up the possibility of getting a ticket, theyd rather use their high beams and blind other drivers....especially sucks when theyre on my ass such as the douchebag behind me on the way home tonight.

could be there was a guy in your backseat with a knife!!!!!!!!

I find myself irked beyond belief when someone tells me theyre gonna do something...and they dont do it...the part that gets me most is they dont bother warning me that they arent gonna do what they said they would....then when I get mad, Im the villain.
lol..hows that?
Sweeeeeeet. What really grinds my gears is how people take the elevator up one floor. Walk damn it!

Yesterday when I was going to fucking Walmart and I had my turn signal on to get a halfway decent parking space and the fuck stick asshole $$$$$$ shit bag showed up behind the car backing out AFTER I had my turn signal on and took the spot. I was so pissed that I just turned around and went back home.

I hope that taught you not to shop at walmart.

How the hell do you not shop at Wal-Mart? Yeah...I could go elsewhere but one trip to Walmart easily turns into 3 trips to different stores with me spending more money in the end. Yeah, yeah, walmart sucks, etc etc but when it comes to general needs/groceries/etc you can get it all in one stop and pay less. I am married with 2 kids and currently trying to finish pay off debt from when I was young and dumb so I can buy my family a home. Walmart = win for me as far as ease of finding what I need and prices...

Well I was joking mostly, but I don't really have to go to walmart since there's a wegmans and target right next to each other that are maybe slightly closer to my apartment than the walmart. I don't buy too much from the target anyway though since most things other than food I just buy from amazon. The difference in food prices really is marginal at best, and if it's on sale at wegmans it's easily cheaper than walmart, so part of the cost is made up that way (I also buy a lot of wegmans brand shit and they double coupons too). Sure it might add up to maybe $100-200 more expensive a year or so, but fuck it.

we have a Reasors about 3/4 of a mile away from the house but the prices are actually quite a bit more (in general) than the walmart an extra mile away.

It might just be my area so everything's just cheaper, but from what I've compared the prices are pretty much the same here. And if something's more expensive at the Wegmans then I'd rather just support the Wegmans really, but I guess I can afford the difference and Walmart is just a pain in the ass (and I still go to the Wegmans at like 9-9:30pm so that hardly anybody is there since it's busy during the day).

Your first problem is that you live in Oklahoma.

Yeah..the thing I hate about walmart is that you can go at 6am or 10pm and there is still 10000 people there. Ive been to the Reasors at 8 am and you are the only person there..love that....sometimes I do shop at the Reasors just because it is nicer, cleaner and less crowded

on topic: Twi-hards

Whats wrong with Oklahoma? Tulsa is actually quite nice. I love when people generalize a whole entire state!

on topic: people who generalize a whole entire state (especially when they havent spent any significant time there)

What really grinds my gears is when I can't find the droids I'm looking for....

But seriously folks

I hate dump on the pre school my oldest daughter attends, because she loves it and they are good folks, but they act like they are doing us a huge favor by taking her for a few hours a day. We complained when we found out she had left the center by bus a few times without our knowledge and they had a problem with us having a problem not knowing where she was. We're taking her out after Christmas break and doing something else with her (another school, simple Day care ect.). It's actually hurting her development as since she has started she now baby talks and has shown a lot negative behavior. She has stoped speaking Spanish and refeuses to read. The other day I asked if her teachers knew she could read and write and count to 100 and she told me "No it's a secret". None of the other kids can read and they are just learning ABCs. I hate to take her out because she loves her friends, but I can't stand to see her dumb it down for everyone else. Whew... That feels better.

I haven't lived in OK, but the little bit I've been there it seems like a nice enough place to raise a kid.

NEVER allow for the dumbing down of your kids. Take her out NOW.

Does that really grind your gears? Well tough shit.

Yeah, I can attest that growing up in WV was painful! Not shit to do if you're not into outdoorsy stuff. I was growing up so, it was that bad I guess. But I could never go back being a big city person through and through now.

Be nice. I don't know where you grew up, dmaul, but it's not that bad if you live in the north, I think. I grew up in Wheeling which is close enough to Pittsburgh to make my childhood a good time. And, I'm anti-outdoorsy. Even now, in Morgantown, things aren't bad. Although, I couldn't imagine growing up in the south.

Yeah, but it's home. I feel out place sometimes as I'm more tech inclined, a bit more educated on some stuff than some people here, and I detest country music, but there are good people around us and lots of family and friends. I can over look a few things. I've been to a lot of places and I always love coming back home. I don't know why, but I like it. I might be moving soon, but I'll miss the place.

Is there an answer I can give that you won't try and smack down?

In which case I'm from...

Heaven, USA

Whats the deal with drivers in the fast lane doing 60 in a 70....and when they finally move over to the slow lane, they do 75?

Yeah, really. If they just went that speed to begin with, wouldn't be a problem.

Sh*t story alert.....You think people are you "friends"...

For convo's sake...lets just go with Halo 3 as the object in question....

As a last sec gift request, my gf wants me to try and find "halo 3" for her brothers gf....Its been out awhile..nobody has it in stock that often..not a "highly sough after" game....Lets say on the norm it gets 40.00 on ebay in an open auction....there arent any on right now but there are some in stores via buy it now for 80.00+....you know its overpriced..you dont want to pay that....

You find out someone you consider to be a friend has it...factory sealed...its part of their "collection"... You ask them if theyll front you the game...get to you in time for x-mas...after the holidays, youlll seek out another factory sealed "halo 3" to replace it....Youll cover their s/h to get it to you in time for x-mas...youll make sure the one you send in return is just as factory sealed, no damage, etc etc..the same condition if not better than what you got..on top of that, youll toss in something for their trouble.

*side discussion*.....
So at this point, if they dont come through, youll have to way overpay...its not a game thats going to be hard to replace, youre just in a position that you dont want to overpay, and yet you dont want to haggle a lower price because you need it asap.....

*BOT*.....

Your friend says no because they dont want to break up their "collection"...but they tell you to go buy one of the 80.00 ones on ebay considering they paid more than that when they first got theirs.....

Maybe I didnt explain everything the way I wanted but for the most part, people get what Im saying. Am I that much of an asshole if I feel kinda dicked over by that "friend"? If the shoe was on the other foot, I consider us to be the type of friend where I would have done it for them because I thought they would do it for me....So instead of helping me, and going for a month or so without "halo 3" to help me get it in time for x-mas...they say no and I have some hard feelings towards that.

People who refuse to help you on co-op games online. Let's see I give you health packs and pills plus help you back up when you're down. However, when I'm down you either ignore me or vote to kick me off the game??!?!? I swear I refuse to play random games with people anymore.

Trade values of college textbooks WHAT A RACKET!!!

People who don't stay together on L4D 1 or 2 co-op on expert. Strength in numbers people! Not lone wolves!

Gs putting stickers on the spine of cardboard inserts on games. BBV doing the same thing causing me to rip my Batman Begins cover GRRRR!

Trying to get new releases on Netflix (do I send my movie back on Saturday or Monday to get a Tuesday release). I thought I had it down but for some reason Monday is not working anymore and Saturday works only sometimes. All depends how quickly the post office scans them I guess.

People who don't understand four way stops. Either counter clockwise or start with car closest to the right. Most important ONE CAR AT A TIME!!!

I prefer whoever gets there first. Or if two people get there at the same time, stare eachother down until one relents and waves the other on. I had one last 7 hours once.

You mean clockwise? :p
Counter clockwise. The car on the right goes first.
But if the car furthest to the right always goes first then you can only go clockwise...unless you abandon that rule as soon as the first person goes.
