What stores will return games without a receipt?

This still doesn't make sense... how does buying a game online let you play it early? I'm guessing that part of the story is now rendered moot, as basically he ordered it twice. Unless you got an amazing deal from the second person, I'm failing to see how saving a couple bucks is worth the effort of this whole thread finding a store to commit return fraud at.

no they exchanged one for a different one and sold the exchanged one
 
What is so bad about returning an unopened game to a store? Its like you are selling the item back to the store. I understand why stores do not like it, but is it really THAT bad or immoral?

And if all these things fall into place (minus the costs of the return process and shelf space for the game), the store will be in the same place in which it would have been if it had sold their game (exchanged to the person who had Bioshock originally) at retail, right? While #3 might be likely to happen, #1 & #2 aren't since OP is going through all this trouble to save a few bucks. At best case, the store has a game sold, which would have been more profitable without the exchange. At least, that's my understanding of it.

It's not to sell games to the store. People abusing all these return policies cause stores to change them so it becomes a bigger headache for people who are legitimately returning stuff.

I wouldn't do a thing like this to a small business, but I couldn't care less if I were to do it to a store like walmart, target, and so on. It's not as bad as people make it seem here, it's just that 1. They enjoy making themselves seem like saints infront of other board members or moderators, 2. They have nothing else better to do.

Returning a game to a store without a receipt when it's not the store you originally purchased it from is fraud, and is not up for discussion on CAG.
