it just kicked me off. Is anyone else's aim service down, it gave me a notice and it said the AIM Service is currently unavailable. Does anyone else have this? Thanks

happened to me too, this type of thing happens on aim from time to time, it's nothing to really worry about
Me too. I was angry because I thought my mom went to a website that caused my computer to do this. Then I guess it's not only me that can't get on AIM.
Just did the same to me. I'm touching up a resume for a transfer tomorrow, and it's hailing golf ball sized hail here. My connection was actually down for a little bit, and the power went out (glad I saved the resume).
I just tried AOL for broadband and it works fine, so it looks like someone or something took down the AIM server. It used to go down from time to time at my college, but that was a local network problem. I've never heard of the entire service going down before, really weird stuff.
Died here as well. I started to get pissed off (I had an away message up for a few hours), then I figured it was due to a local storm, but MSN isn't down and neither is the net.. guess they're updating netcode or something. I can connect, and it verifies username and password, then just shuts off..
Back up now.
Holy crap, it shut down for everyone. Seriously. Everyone on my list has been signed on for 1 minute. Holy crap.
it... died... is this really the first topic about this on here? wow
I'm not sure actually, but from what I've noticed, AIM sucks. It alway, always kicks me off and I almost can never get onto the CAG AIM chatroom even if I send myself a message.
It used to do this a LOT a few years ago. Then, when you tried signing in, it would say something about you can't sign in now, try later, then when you tried signing in again, it bitched at you for trying to sign in. I've also gotten warned by noone, which is odd. Getting warned by imaginary people is the worst.
