Absentee ballots?
We may have a winner. Also, what state are we talking about here? If it has a large enough population, I think it could possibly have about 25,000 votes with less than 1% of precincts reporting, rounded down to 0%.

Starting to make sense....

Hmm... That anti-civil union proposal passed in Ohio. The governor, both senators, and house representatives were against this initiative because it effects all non-married people.

I think a lot of people will be suprised when it affects them.

Deserve them right.

All these anti gay marriage laws are unconstitutional. The thing is they haven't been over ruled yet because the country is so slow.

"This state and its political subdivisions shall not create or recognize a legal status for relationships of unmarried individuals that intends to approximate the design, qualities, significance or effect of marriage."

Many people living together for over a year are considered "legally" married. Therefore they get the special protections under the law that officially married couples have. This ballot ends this. That's going to cause a lot of headaches because now when people separate won't have any legal recourses. Thet'll no longer get certain state tax breaks. They no longer be eligable for special family assistance that applies only to married couples. At least in Ohio.

It frankly it punishes people for living together but being unmarried becauise of an extreme religious/moral agenda that sees people living under the same roof without being married as a sin. I think very few people who voted for this even recognized it.

It's one thing to be against gay marriage. It's another thing to say the state shouldn't recognize any heterosexual couple living together as a legal entity. I don't think a lot of Ohioians recognized the difference. But that's my opinion.

Yes they are but the thing is dude. Some people hate gays, I wish they'd just say "I hate queers." and get it over with. Acknowledge that they think of gays as less then regular people, show them their true side. After all, look at how Republicans treat it. Gay man=Pedophile. I guess by that logic any straight man would molest young girls.

I wanna know how the Christian Cioalition can be considered a non-profit organization. I'm flipping around and came to see CBN with Pat Robertson. They're openly rooting for President Bush. That violates their non-profit status.
