I won an auction for a game. I was the only one who bid and won, probably because the seller has almost no selling history. His only prior sales were 1 negative feedback on a game that he didn't ship for some reason, that he later re-sold for positive feedback.
I paid immediately, and I woke up this morning with a PayPal refund and a message saying "I can't sell this game to you because I wanted to make more money off of it." Can't? Yes, he can sell it to me, he's just refusing to. More like "won't."
That's not how eBay works and in fact it defeats the whole purpose of eBay. I sent eBay customer support an email to report this guy, but I'm not sure what their response will be. I also emailed the guy through eBay and pointed out that his actions are against eBay's policy.
But at this point I don't think I want to try to re-pay and try to force him to ship it, because he'd probably just do something
ed up to the game since he's just some 19 year old ass. A Google search of his name reveals he was cited earlier this year for driving a car without a license and driving without his headlights turned on.
Should I leave negative Feedback to try to warn other buyers about the way he abuses eBay's system? Last time I left negative feedback for a seller who didn't send me everything the listing included and refused to, he sent me an email from a random email address outside of eBay threatening me, so I'm a little hesitant to leave another negative. While I live across the country from this guy, I don't know if he still has access to my address through eBay and what kind of weird shit he might pull.
