What is everyone looking forward to on Wii's VC? What would you love to see on there? I'm currently very excited about the possiblities of SNES games that I didn't get to play. Now without ANY THOUGHT towards if these will be released, here's what I'd love to play on VC.

Super Metroid (Note: Never lend your games to ANYONE if you ever want them back )
Secret of Mana
Earthbound
Yoshi's Island
Legend of Zelda (all of them :D)

What else people?

I'm torn... I really like the idea of the VC but most of the games I love from past Nintendo consoles I either own or I have played the crap out of them. I can't see myself rebuying SMB or LttP yet again... I'm sure there are some great games I've missed though - hopefully I'll stumble onto something completely new.

No idea if these will be available, but I'd love to see:

Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Crystalis
any and all Castlevania games
Adventure Island games
Baseball Simulator 1.000
Baseball Stars
Startropics
Ogre Battle 64 (always wanted to play this...)
Double Dragon 2
Bionic Commando

That's all I can think of for now...

Earthbound
Bubble Bobble
E.V.O.
GI Joes
Ninja Gaiden III
Ogre Battle

^ Only really high wants of NES/SNES that I haven't managed to secure at a decent cost yet.
Great list!

Add Chrono Trigger, FFIII, Mario RPG, an some Shumps for me.
Wow! I totally forgot Mario RPG!! That's definatly up there for me.

I don't love the idea of rebuying either. But I don't have a working NES anymore, and don't want to shell out for a top loader. I was really disappointed in the review I heard of the NEX (NES/famicom clone that was supposed to not suck, but apparently did).

And I havn't played a lot of these games, so I'm excited. W00T for WII!

Baseball

For whatever reason this game has never gotten old for me. I used to play it in the arcade with my brother when we were young. It was called vs. baseball then. Still enjoy it now.

I have it on the cube in the form of Animal Crossing but at least I won't have to wait to get through all of the Animal Crossing loading and stuff before playing.

QFT

Maybe Kid Icarus, but besides that I don't see much of a reason to dl many of the older nintendo games. I have already owned and played most of them. Now the 3D0 is a different story.

I want the original MOTHER. Really bad. I demand Mother. Nintendo shall be the Mother Bringer. (Note: Do not make joke. You know not what you say.)

I've missed a lot of NES/SNES titles, because my parents bought me a computer and got me Space Quest games, happy that I will learn to type and learn English. When I beat SQ3 with no adult help (but with a Russian - English - Russian dictionary) I felt like a bad ass. That feeling has stuck with me since, but I only felt it again after beating Super Mario Bros. without dying on my fiancee's Nintendo Entertainment System (which we're plotting to snatch from my soon-to-be-mother-in-law's house).

I'm really looking to playing through StarFox, although I have the SNES that was GIVEN to me by Strell (for a limited time only), and that is one of the few cartridges that people have given me a-la "You never played CHRONO TRIGGER???!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?" reactions.

We were way too broke when we first moved to the US, so Nintendo GameCube is literally my first console ever, and I'm rather proud of that. I'll be watching this thread, but if people would pretty please recommend every worthy title of the N64 / SNES / NES (be obscure, though, I've been in the states for 10 years, and I've been catching up) I would really appreciate it.

So, this is your assignment: Every system compatible with Wii's VC needs a separate list of games that are a. GODLY and b. "the diamonds in the rough."

I only ask you of this, because everyone loves being pompous sometimes, and this is your chance. Thank you all in advance. Shit, I'm being too nice... Bitches.

I have that game for the GameBoy. :) That is a great game, they should just make it free with the Wii.

I'd kill for online 60 fps Goldeneye action.

You would to.

Sadly, it won't happen. :(

Other than that, what has already been suggested - SNES RPGs, etc.
Nobody said Sin and Punishment yet?
I know that's what I most want. I'm just a bit too cheap to bite on an eBay auction, but hopefully I won't have to. It's not like it's not already in English, so there isn't any work to release it in the US market.

Some of the things are useless like the controller and the slow motion button on the controller. All it does is repeatedly pause the game. Other than that its fine. No voodoo black magic to get my games to work anymore and now I can import Mother.

Also, I want to see and english version of Mother on the Virtual Console and some of the older Fire Emblem games.

Only N64 First-Person Shooters, those are the only games that will have improved controls and I don't feel much like rebuying games I already have.

Perfect Dark (My all-time favorite First-Person Shooter)
Goldeneye

I think that's it.

Jerf and drat win! Ogre Battle 64 and Sin & Punishment for me, along with Secret Of Mana, Ducktales, Ducktales 2 and Treasure Hunter G which is Square's closet good RPG no one ever hears of.
Oh and on the Sin & Punishment front I remember one time when that was being sold online in Japan NEW for $20 or maybe even $10 off Akihabara's store site and correspondingly some U.S. assholes were trying to charge double for it new because I think they were getting in on the sale and deciding to take advantage of the people who allow it to be that expensive.

Bonk's Adventure. Played it breifly before and don't want to buy a TG16 just for it, was a pretty fun game of what I played.

Hook me up with Turok 2, man I loved that game. Played the shit outta it then my 3rd party memory card took a crap .... never went back to the game after that.

The TurboGrafx side must include Alien Crush, the first great pinball game that rather than simulating a real pinball machine instead created an environment that could never be done outside of a video game.

It had a sequel, Devil's Crush that was on TG and Genesis in the US but the SNES version was Japan only.
earthworm jim
rock n roll racing

Rock 'N Roll Racing for the serious win. That game was totally freaking awesome.
Those bible games where noah tosses and carrys animals on his head... no joke for me.
Bible Adventures? The Noah one isn't bad, but the baby Moses one? Damn, that sucker is hard.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the black market/unlicensed Wisdom Tree games will not be making an appearance on the VC.

I have a complete copy of Bible Adventures, wonder if it's worth anything...

//it was taken from someone else

Killer Instinct
Diddy Kong Racing
Paper Mario
all the SNES Castlevanias
Earthbound
Super Mario RPG
Battletoads
Double Dragon
River City Ransom

I have serious doubts that any of the Square RPGs sans maybe Mario RPG will be appearing on this Square makes too much money rehashing them over and over for them to allow it.

Yea, and they'll make even more if they release them on the VC.

I get your point but this is literally cash waiting to be made.

In other words, you stole a Bible Adventures game? You probably ought to play it to repent. :)
In other words, you stole a Bible Adventures game? You probably ought to play it to repent. :)
Heh, I was wondering if someone would say that.

I helped a family friend with her computer last summer, and in return she gave me whatever video games she had laying around. I picked up an Odyssey with a lot of complete games, and Bible Adventures was in there as well.

And it wouldn't teach me to repent. It would teach me to throw various animals in the river and such.

Seiken Densetsu 3 :p
Would be nice, but nicer if Squeenix got smart and ported it to GBA as well.
Oh, and all the old Shin Megami Tensei games. Yeah hardly a chance in hell (mind the pun), but I can hope for it AND a translation.

In addition to the usual popular items such as the snes rpgs, and mascot games,

I am looking for the Genesis/Snes platformers and adventure games such as Vectorman, Aero the Acrobat, Cool Spot, Bubsy, Ristar, Dynamite Headdy (so help me God better end up on the VC), Comix Zone, Alladin, Lion King, etc.

I know most don't hold up to well today, but played the heck out of them as a kid. Sadly I'll probably own more VC games than Wii + Gamecube games.

Even though I still have them I am looking forward to Earthbound, Secret of Evermore, and Illusion of Gaia. I also want Super Metroid, Super Mario All-stars, Battletoads (the one with the Double Dragons), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV Turtles in Time, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters, and Super Street Fighter Turbo II to name a few.

Nirvana unless it comes out on the DS I think OB64 WILL hit VCS as an almost certainty. It not Atlus are complete idiots.
As for no ES games I think if Enix is smart they'll release Treasure Hunter G on it. I mean they already treat it as the Black Sheep of the Square family so why not release it somewhere more modest?
