I don't play too much anymore, but I'd add back URF, Showdown, and One-For-All (the one on ARAM) in a heartbeat. As for changing the core game, I really have no idea. I'd try to make the game a little more snowbally than currently is so the games could last shorter (I wouldn't make it as snowbally as it was in S3 where a Riven with a few kills would be GG, but a little less than that).

New maps and modes!
I was really excited when I first discovered LoL back in January 2010, because my friends and I were big fans of DotA at the time. To see a game take the idea of DotA and implement it in its own standalone engine, free from the restraints imposed by Warcraft III, was exciting. I was anticipating a variety of experimental maps and game modes. Instead, we received way too many champions and eventually a focus on LoL as a spectator arena instead of a game.
