What would you like to see out of RE5?
Jill Valentine. All I ask is that Jill be in the game. Jill and her great ass...
Damn, I was gonna say that too. Jill is hawt. They should allow you to pick a male or female like RE 1, or have 2 seperate scenarios like RE 2.

Would be nice if there was co-op mode or online co-op mode for RE 5. You guys should play RE Outbreak 2 if you haven't yet. It has online mode and its way more survival imo.

Several great suggestions from many.

Keep RE4 style gameplay. But maybe with the power of PS3, combine guncon2, dance pad, and eyetoy to produce a virtual RE5 seen through first-person.

Include third-person option, with multiple character choices and radically different paths. Example: Jill, Chris, Ada, and Claire.

Co-op on LAN.

Jill should be a Sienna Guillory scan with destructible zombie-damageable clothes.

Oh, and default with 2 attache cases from the start.

I want it to be an FPS with online deathmatches.

erm, i mean...RE4 action with more suspense. they can toss the whole "survival" aspect out the window--the idea presupposes that there is a point where you can no longer survive because you haven't rationed things correctly, which means you can't go any further and you've wasted your money on a crap game. (I'm bitter about getting stuck with no ammo in the airplane boss fight in C:V)

so forget survival, but find a way to make it more horrific and suspenseful.
Don't know if this is a RE4 spoiler or not but:
In RE5 I'd like to see more chainsaw-wielding-burlap-sack-over-head guy
It's not a spoiler. One of those guys is on the cover of the Gamecube version.

THIS SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME.

I later found out I missed the grenade launcher, I went back for it, only to find out I couldn't get it.

Nooooo!

Zombie apocalypses are supposed to be lonely.

How on earth did you guys run out of ammo in CV? You're suppose to conserve ammo and use the knife. The knife in CV is VERY powerful compared to other RE series.

Ammo/Item Conservation
Zombies
Co-op
Barry Burton
RE4 Controls
Pre-RE4 Perspective
Multiple Scenarios/Playable Characters

The other problem with the survival aspect is you never know exactly what you will and won't have later on. I guess some would say that is the whole point though.

It's funny I heard the ealier Resident Evil games were hard in the ammo and ink ribbon department. I just played through Resident Evil Deadly Silence after playing through RE4 and I had so much ammo, first aid spray, and ink ribbions left it was laughable.

The virus based zombies would be nice (T, G or whatever it is now). More enclosed areas (mansion-esque), more puzzles, less action, less ammo.

The camera angle for RE4 was perfect for the series, they didn't need to redo everything elso though.

Wow people here are really really torn. Seems most want RE4 styled game but a fair number still want the old series back. And other issues like ammon conservation vs unlimited ammo again its almost split. I guess this is now a series like Final Fantasy where no matter what the company does they are going to make alot of peole happy and alot of people pissed.
RE5 on the PS3 should launch with a promo pre-order disc containing RE Zero through RE:CV. (similar to the LoZ:WW or LoZ:CE)
That would be a great selling point. I would buy a copy where normally I would wait for the game to drop to $20.

I want zombies.. but I want them to run like in RE4. RE4 gave you a whole new sense of panic with the enemies that could run and everything.. it was great.

Oh, and of course, the same gameplay, with limb specific damage like RE4. If he has a weapon, I want to shoot his arm and him drop the weapon.

I really don't see how they can improve upon RE4..

yeah, RE4 will be tough to top in terms of gameplay... graphics could always get better though...

Hey, when there's zombies run amuck you can't go blasting everything in sight. You gotta conserve ammo my friends. I liked RE4 more than the others, but I must say I felt like I accomplished something more when I beat the old ones because there wasn't an abundance of ammo. In RE4 I didn't use any magnum bullets until the end, and I had like, a trillion left after I beat the last boss.

I'd say more ammo conservation and a boss where you have to use all the good weapons and ammo at the end and still hardly kill it. I had to face the last boss a bunch of times in C: V to beat it. But I did it, it's cool to hear that some people thought it was too hard to conserve ammo and couldn't beat it.

I want a tough boss next time. Preferably a pirate / cowboy / ninja / zombie boss. With nuclear warheads for legs.

And nunchucks for eyes.

And six-shot revolvers for eyebrows. One's that hold 1000 shots each.
