dont waste your time on IM2 that game is crap. i tried the demo and after going a bit of a ways with each character i quit and deleted it.
 
Yeah, anyone have Rocket Knight and know how long it is? Read a comment on either Joystiq, Kotaku, or Destructoid that said it was only 2 hours long. If that's the case, I'm going to pass until it's $5 or less. Can anyone confirm or deny?
 
I can't remember how long the game is supposed to be, but I tried the demo for Rocket Knight (on 360 oops) and it's a real good time for anyone who enjoys classic 2D platform games. IMO $15 is too high even with the HD makeover, but I'm definitely going to pick it up eventually though.

Picked up Prince of Persia Classic when it was last on sale. Short and I really didn't like the sword combat at all. Probably wouldn't have picked it up, even for $5 if I had known.

That's not a bad price, the first game was great. I just can't use PSN anymore. I wish these games came on a disc.

No, the first Soldner X came out on disc for $50 IIRC.

It only became $10 after quite some time when it went digital only...

I think $12 is a pretty fair price. I might get it now, although everything goes on sale or drops in price eventually.
 
I was under the impression that Soldner-X was suppose to go on sale when the sequel hit. At least that's what I understood from what the developer had said a few weeks ago when talking about the release of the sequel.

I was going to pick it up for $5 or so, but now, well I can't since there is no sale... :(

Is this coming from someone playing it for the first time? Going by reviews, it seems some love it, some think its good, and a few think it sucks. Basically, it seems like you will enjoy it based on how much you enjoyed it originally. For most people that is. Others ymmv. Still wish it was the NES version but this will do!

I was pretty disappointed with the new Tecmo Bowl as well. I loved the original NES version back in the day, so my expectations were pretty high going in. Maybe the play style that was acceptable back then just hasn't aged well. It was okay for about five minutes, but after that I had no more urge to play it. Perhaps it would be more fun on local versus, but I've heard that online is unplayable due to some exploits.

Everyone even thinking about getting it needs to try the demo.

I don't feel bad about buying it (from Amazon last week) since they dropped the price of Soldner 1 now, I thought it was a pretty neat game, and from what you've said the sequel is better, but it'll have to go sub-$10 for me to pick it up, I waited this long for the first, I can wait for the second as well.

Still not bad for both at $9 a piece.

Slim pickin's until E3 hits, be curious as to what's going to drop two weeks from now.

Edit: I see Sony's conference is on the 15th (a Tuesday) I was wondering if they would do that.

its ok i tried the demo but for me its not worth 10 especially if you already own a tiger woods game. i had alot of trouble with being able to hit the ball as hard or soft as i wanted to but that said some of the courses were cool.

i hope you all are right about joe danger coming next week that game looked damn fun.

Like J7 said, your enjoyability for this game depends on how much you liked the SNES version (a beefed up NES Tecmo Bowl). I poured hundreds of hours on the original SNES one (played every single team and won the Super Bowl) and immediately fell in love with this remake. I probably played this for 4 hours yesterday? :lol:

The only noticeable drawback at the moment are rage quitters. My first 3 online games netted these results, while my last 7 were played completely.
 
I'd pick up Soldner X bundle for $17.99, as I feel it's well worth it, but knowing that there'll eventually be a sale on it makes me want to hold off on it anyway.

Joe Danger looks like a real good time--something I can goof around with my kids. No demo on it, I assume?
 
I got both of the Söldner-X games the other day, and the first one is pretty hard. I can get to the damned tank and can't make it far past that. I wish they had more health around, then it would be bearable. I feel pretty underpowered; and like i said, there's hardly any health around, so it makes it harder than it should be.

It's fun, but I guess you have to play it a lot to get good enough at it w/o having to switch to very easy/beginner mode. I'll keep hammering on it until I get sick of it, then I'll kick it down to the easiest setting and go thru it.

I'll give it a shot I suppose. I thought that you just had to keep playing and get better to get more credits.

But, other than trophies, what incentive is there to playing it on the harder difficulties? Is there some kind of bonus stuff?

I played through to Stage 3, when the difficulty really ramps up (cheap bastard rocks) then got killed. I didn't use any of the super bombs (didn't know I had any) :lol: which might have made things easier. Plus I need to learn how to use the weapons systems more effectively on the ship and power them up through chaining.

There seems to be a lot of depth in the game, I'd say if I wasn't a huge shmup fan, I'd think my money was wasted. Plus I like hori games (Einhander and Border Down, speakin' of which Einhander where are you on PSN...) so with time to learn it's quirks I think I'll have fun with it.
