That's really it?
Guess one game for me.

Also, when is Rock of Ages supposed to come out?

They keep releasing videos on the PSN store for it and the XBLA version came out ages ago.

Anyone have any thoughts on Gatling Gears? I have plus, so $5 looks like a good deal for a decent twin stick shooter. And I am a sucker for twin stick shooters...

been wondering as well... haven't seen shit but with the recent trailers released I was assuming it was soon. Really want to play it but was waiting to get it on PSN

im still waiting for that floaty sand game to come out. i may pick up ape escape move of course i still need to get a move bundle but i will in time.

Dungeon Hunter Alliance looks tempting at the sale price for co-op with my wife. Need a new couch co-op game. I am kind of wanting to play Borderlands (never played it), but I suck at FPS and my wife doesn't like to play games like that, usually. Although she might try sicne it's co-op.

If you like twin stick shooters, then you should really like this.
I have it for the 360 and while I like TSSs, they are not my fav, but for some reason I have always been drawn back to this one.
I finished it on easy, and now I was looking to bump up the difficulty.

It's one of those that took me by suprise as a rare winner.

I'll probably go ahead and grab this while it's on sale, I thought the demo was pretty cool, even though some of the items are hard to snag (like most rail shooters) I have a week to decide.

Shame I own every other game on there, heh, guess I need to start being more patient again.

I'll recommend it too, fun game, works with two player if you work together, can get as it can get quite hectic with everything going on screen at the same time. But if you still aren't sure give the demo a whirl and see if you like what it has to offer. It has a nice little upgrade system, (you collect gold hidden in the game) that you aren't locked into so if you need more firepower in your main guns you can take away from your armor or cannon per say and put those into another item to power up.

Thanks, i did try the demo for Gatling when it came out, but only played it for a bit. It was fun but not worth whatever the plus price was for it at the time. But for under $5 and considering I took the $5.99 credit from Sony it is "free" for me. Seems worth it for sure.

This has got to be the first week in a long time where I did not d/l anything.

Tempted to pick up The Baconing for $7.49. Although I just finished the second Deathspank a few months ago.

Jesus, that's a lot of crap for WKC2. Is there a 'season pass' kind of thing? I can't believe they would dare a la carte that shit onto gamers.

Your welcome, glad I could help.

Grr...Sony you had to put up Flower too,, I'm happy ,but didn't want to spend that much on that and Ape Escape, guess it's a good thing I had that $10 credit, I guess. :booty:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/11/23/the-sly-collection-heads-to-psn-tuesday/

The Sly Collection will be out on PSN next week for $29.99 as a bundle or $9.99 together. It doesn't seem like the individual games will be PS+ exclusive like the other HD collections on the PS Store.
Looks like the PSN version is lacking the PS move enhanced minigames, although I have no idea what the quality of the missing content is like. It might not matter to most people.

BTW: If you are way ahead of the curve and picked up The Sly Collection on Blu-ray, don’t feel left out — the PlayStation Move-enhanced minigames are still exclusive to that version, so enjoy!

They talk about what's out next week:

Games
the previously mentioned Sly Cooper Collection
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
de Blob 2
Scene It: Movie Night (new PSN game, not a retail game)
Voltron: Defender of the Universe (with demo)
Darkstalkers (PS1 Classic)
Tak 2: Staff of Dreams (PS2 Classic)

Add-ons
LittleBigPlanet 2 - Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee Costumes
NBA 2K12 - Legends Showcase
Champion Jockey - Music Pack 2

Videos
two Bioshock Infinite Behind the Scenes videos

Yeah picked it up, since I'll have all 3 Deathspank games now and they usually don't get discounted very often.

Picked up Flower as well, shocked the demo was larger than the full game... (guess it was because of the gameplay video at the end) and the installer for the mp3's was different, have never seen that before, Eidos Montreal should haven taken heed when they jacked up on DX:HR OST.

Also I skipped on Ape Escape Move, while I enjoyed the monkey hi-jinks, even at the sales price between what the reviews say, length very short of the game with no reason to replay it when you finish it, and still higher price than I want to pay ($10 ideally), it isn't enough to justify a purchase.

On a PSN related note, the UK and HK stores are offering sales as well, the UK is offering many different titles than what is being sold in the US store, the HK is pretty much the same.

Also for those interested, the Move Fitness demo is out on those two stores as well (might have launched last week, dunno) it'll give you a reason to work off all of that Turkey and dressing you've been gobbling down today. ;)
Was there another week of "fall sales" last year?
There was one around Christmas time. I remember because I was intending to pick up Pac-Man DX for $4.99, but then forgot about it until it was too late. Hasn't been on sale since :wall:

Smart to not make it a PS+ exclusive but hopefully it has a PS+ discount. I think its smart to release all these HD collections for $30 to everyone $20 PS+ members.

Yeah, I'd be disappointed if it isn't at least $20 for PS+ members. I paid $20 for a disc copy a few months back, there's no way I'd pay $30.

Wow, Darkstalkers. Holy random ancient PS1 fighting game. I'll get it for six bucks.

I downloaded Vampire Savior when it hit the Japanese store so this'll be more of a novelty but it was pretty amazing when it came out compared to SNES/Genesis fighting games that most people were used to. Same with SF Alpha 1 (first PSOne game I bought).

Has anyone picked up Final Fantasy V? I've never played it, but have heard complaints about loading times on some of the Square PS1 re-releases in the past, although it's usually about Chrono Trigger. If anyone has tried it, are loading times more of a minor annoyance or something that makes the game intolerable?

Wish Nightwarriors wasn't Saturn exclusive. I'd pick that up with out a second thought. Put soooo many hours into that back in the day. Might give the original a try just for kicks though.

The 2D fighters on PS1 were largely awful due to low frame rates and long load times.

I'd rather see the Capcom fighter collections come out in the PS2 Classics section, or have them release them as PSN titles, like they did w/ Final Fight/Magic Sword, MvC2, etc.

2D Capcom fighters were poor facsimiles of the originals 15 years ago, let alone today.

I played FFV when it first hit the PSOne and I didn't find it intolerable. I was just happy to be able to finally play the "lost" Final Fantasy. I'm sure there are loading times but from what I remember, they aren't as egregious as they are with Chrono Trigger.

itd be nice if capcom released more of its obscure fighters on psn like that warzard/red earth ive always wanted to play that but never found a machine near me.

id also like to see the fighting vipers games released those games were awesome.

im glad theyve been releasing the snk stuff but they want way too much money for it.

I so much want to buy something but I'm underwhelmed. Outland and Gatling look okay I guess. I wanted Galaga but after playing the demo, I don't see me playing it tons. The Baconing, it's another Deathspank, right, I barely have the will to finish the second one.

Ho hum, post Black Friday Blues.

If they'd've listen Marvel Pinball or PS1 FF# or Chrono for a dollar off, I would've jumped. Maybe I'll just buy a PS1 game full price just so I buy something.

EGADS! WHAT AM I SAYING!

The Drop for this week:
PlayStation Network

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus – Only one thing can make a thieving raccoon better at his job, and that’s the long-lost Thievious Racoonus, a collected work of thieving knowledge. Split into ten pieces, the writings are spread across the world, and it’s up to one young raccoon, Sly Cooper, to track them all down. Angered security guards, searchlights, and lasers are just a few of the obstacles Sly will have to confront, but luckily he’s got binoculars, swords, daggers, and all sorts of other fun stuff.

Sly 2: Band of Thieves – The sequel to Sly Cooper delivers the same crime detective style of presentation, borrowing heavily from movies, novels and comic books to create a beautiful, highly animated game. The story takes place two years after Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. In the first game, Sly was becoming a professional thief, but in Band of Thieves, he is a professional thief — so he retains all of the moves from the first game. He also earns new moves and gains different items to assist him in his dark craft. The biggest upgrade comes in form of the new multi-character gameplay. Players might start a level as Sly, and then after completing a particular task, players switch to Bentley, and Murray, respectively.

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves – The third edition of the innovative platformer series from Sucker Punch and SCE America. This time around, the cast of playable characters has been expanded even further to include Carmelita, a shaman from Australia who speaks in tongues, Dimitri, and some other characters that have yet to be revealed. Once again, the setup for each mission is with a series of events that need to be done within each large environment. By looking through the binoculars or simply tapping the L3 button, arrows point out the current events available that are color-coded for each of the available characters. If there’s a blue arrow, it’s for Sly, and Bentley and Murray have green and purple arrows, respectively. And once all of these events have been completed there is the grand heist-type event where the characters need to work together to pull off a grand plan that Bentley will have concocted.

So, the restrictions went into place with PSN purchases and the amount of machines that are activated.

Did Sony ever say anything else about this...say where's the magic website link where we can deactivate old/dead systems?
qriocity.com
Thanks. So, if I did not nickname any of my consoles, I have no real way of telling what I'm deactivating?

The alternative is then to deactivate them all?
I knew that Sony was going to make this more difficult than it needed to be.
You can only deactivate them all and then reactivate the systems you want to have access to your account from the PS3s themselves.
Thanks Frisky.
Definitely not what I wanted to do. Will resist, and just use in case of an emergency. It would've been nice to have been provided a serial number or some other unique identifier that would've made this easier. And for games, it's even more restrictive (all or nothing.)

Of course, I'm sure there're technical limitations (and political decisions) that are keeping them from doing this more cleanly. As a user, though, it's absolutely bare bones functionality.

I'm in dragonjud's boat. qriocity shows that I have 3 PSPs attached to my account but now I only own two of them. If I deactivate the wrong ones, I'll have a great deal of redownloading of PSP games to do.

Unless I'm forgetting how it works on the PSP, you should only have to login to your account to reactivate them once you reset your systems. It shouldn't affect the games since they just need to belong to the account that the PSP is set up for. It also resets them for both PS3 and PSP, so you'd have to reactivate your PS3(s) as well.

Here's the page that explains the process of clearing your activations:
