What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!
I own it on PS1 and PSP and have only gotten about two missions into the game.
Same here. For some reason I could never get into the game, though I knew from playing it that it was something special. It's funny how some games are like that. I had the same experience with both Bioshock and Fallout 3. I started playing them both for only a few hours, then never had the desire to go any further with either.
I don't know if I'd term the PSone translation of FFT as "bad"...how about "classic"?
If you want bad translations, you should see Suikoden II.

If I didn't already have a disc copy, I'd be all over FFT. Good for everyone else though, I expect we should see some decent sales from this title.

Honestly, I already own a FFT greatest hits disc, and I'm still thinking of getting this. I don't own a PSP yet, but for FFT, would I be able to just copy it to my PSP, or would I only be able to play via Remote Play? I'm getting a Go (in 2 weeks now) and that's a factor for me. If it's remote play only I wouldn't bother since I can already do that through the disc. If I can actually copy it over and just keep it on my Go, I'd gladly re-download it. (Unless War of the Lions is released digitally--I don't believe it's there yet)

Still, it is the best FF game of all time in my opinion--the only other one that comes close is 5. (I love the detailed Job systems, what can I say?) I really have to say that Tactics is the best PS1 game I've ever played, as well. There are others that are great--Metal Gear Solid, for instance--but none have aged as well as Tactics has, and none gave the epic story, gameplay, and challenge that Tactics offered. It may be the black sheep of the Final Fantasy series, but I'll take a black sheep like that any day.
Yeah, all of the PS1 Classics can be transferred over to the PSP to play from there.
Yep, that's the only reason I bought FF7, even though I have an original copy of the game. I never have an internet connection when I play my PSP, so the downloadable version is perfect.

Trine might just be a little overrated and overpriced. Actually no I'm wrong. Most reviews have the game placed at a high 70 something which is about right. I mean its nice. But it's not worth $20. At most it should actually be $9.99.

Do you own it? Wanna share? I'll pay $10

Whoa, if Trine is $20, then I'll pass. Maybe at $15...maybe. But $10 would be the ideal price for me (but I don't gameshare, sorry).

Me too. It feels like I've been waiting forever. :bomb:

It started at $30 on the pc and then just recently dropped to $20. So I would assume it would be $15 or $20 for PS3.

I have the PC version. The game really isn't anything amazing.

Wait for Braid. Now that's a game everyone should be hyped about.

Yah Mak, it sounds like it's going to be $20, in which case I will hold off.

I wonder when the next PSN sale will be? I wonder if the surge of PS3 system sales will hasten or delay another sale?

Trine was pretty expensive in Europe on PSN I heard. Hopefully they're testing the waters there and if it doesn't sell well enough it will be $15 here. One can only hope.

I would think that Trine vs Braid would be a matter of personal preference. I played both through Steam and loved Trine but though that Braid was outstanding on a technical level but incredibly dull. I generally dont mind slower paced games and I actually liked Braid quite a bit at first. But after a while it lost its appeal.

Trine is in no way perfect either, it just fell nicely into that quirky niche type game with its style of humor and such.

Yea I agree that Braid is a great concept. But it's SUCH a boring game (from the demo!). The full version could be better, but the demo turned me off to the point that I wont' spend money on it.

Trine, on the other hand, I WANT to spend money on, but I won't because of no online cooperative play...and lack of presence on PSN right now in US lol...

How long did you get stuck on certain puzzle in Braid?

There is a certain moment in the first world that is a AHA/WTF/Holy Shit! moment. The first time we experienced it (a friend and myself played the game together), it absolutely blew us away.

In fact throughout the entire game there is only one puzzle that we needed to resort to Youtube in order to beat.

Other than that, Braid was nothing less than an in achievement in game design.

The story is wack though.

Tux Bobble I'd have to say don't listen to him. The demo for Braid is pretty much exactly what you get with the full game. I tried the demo, thought it was OK for maybe a $5 game, then bought it because people said the full game was so great. It wasn't. It was just 4-5 hours of decent, non re playable puzzles. Absolutely nothing special in my opinion.

Anyways I'm thinking of getting FFT but I'd feel bad because I got the PSX version for cheap somewhat recently. I'll have to think about it more tomorrow when I'm not drunk.

Thanks for the comment. I'm sure it's a great game for some people. And like I said, CONCEPTUALLY it's good. It just doesn't feel...right. I still can't QUITE put my finger on it. But there's just...something.

Braid to me was a good game but definitely not worth $15 due to replayability being basically 0. The game lasts only a few hours. It would've benefited immensely by a level editor.

The art and music are great. The puzzles can be frustrating if you don't want to spend time agonizing over them to get all the secrets. It's common for people to have to use a faq or youtube. I played the game once for maybe 4 hours and never touched it since. Regret the purchase despite how aesthetically pleasing and innovative the game was.

If you feel that way about the game then the PC version pretty much is the way to go.

Also, you probably didnt beat the game, so I think that with Braid at least it's not valid to have full opinion on it till you beat it.

I played it for 4 hours, beat it, and never touched it again... I remember that last level with the boss running on top and you gotta run as fast as you can before it scroll kills you. What's special about the PC version? Edit it looks like it has a certain type of level editor, which is bittersweet because I'm not paying for the game a 2nd time. That's awesome news though.

I just checked the JP PS Store, downloaded a Noby Noby Boy theme (worst theme ever... it hurt my eyes! ), and noticed they had UNO! Anyone know if that game is coming statesite today?
Hopefully we get it soon, never played VIII.
It's a bit different.

I haven't played it since 1999 when it first came out and remember being slightly disappointed. I might have hyped it up and it just didn't live up to expectations or something. I remember being kinda pissed about the magic system when I loved FF6 and FF7's way of doing things. 10 years later though, I'm sure that I'll appreciate the game a lot more than I did when I was 17.

I do have to say that Triple Tryiad was super frekin addicting though. I think I played that mini-game almost as much as I did the main game.
So uhhh ... Trine today?
Somehow I doubt it. Even though the latest news said end of Sept I think we would have known by now if it as actually going to hit today.

Hopefully I'm wrong though.
I think next week Mak.
Man, they fucked over Trine with these botched release windows.
The $20 price point doesn't help, either. :p

I think it's an XBLA exclusive.

Looks like MS paid for the Brutal Legend demo to be exclusive to XBL until next week.

Edit: There are demos for Punisher: No Mercy, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Lost Planet 2 on the EU store that you can download before they may or may not show up today on the US update.

Is anybody able to confirm that Fallout 3 Broken Steel is 100% out or coming out today? The official PSN site has not been updated for this week and of course I'm not home yet. I cannot wait to play this argh! Any help would be appreciated :)
US update is up.

UNO via Gameloft (different from 360 version) is there.
It is? In what dimension? ;)

I don't see anything yet.
