What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!
Fixed...;)

(or didn't they say it was coming out within the year...)
Thx, so is the 1st one on PSN now, and is it any good?

This site is now giving Global Updates for PSN. They give it broken down by
US:
PS3
PSP
Comics
EU:
PS3&PSP
Comics
JA:
Everything
Hong Kong:
Everything

Pretty nice if you're looking for stuff on the EU, JA, or HK store.

They also confirm FF 9's development is done at least for Japan. It now has to go through Sony's Testing Phase.

Let's see, they're switching to Tuesday updates starting tomorrow right? So this is probably the last day to pick up the PJ games at a reduced cost.

I could copy the Linger in Shadows from the hard drive, but that was free.

Anyways Lead And Gold finally supposed to drop this week. Hopefully there are a bunch of CAGs that pick it up, get some shootouts going
There are some really kick ass PSN titles coming out later this year, i can't wait.
Blade Kitten, Explodemon, Rush 'n Attack, I can't wait!
Nice

Thanks, smiggity.

I got the Shatter soundtrack, it installs in your game folder. After opening it, you have the option to install the music, dynamic theme, and concept art. I deleted the file after that. From my music folder, it was easy to copy the tracks to a USB drive.
I want the Shatter soundtrack; does anyone know if the mp3s can be copied off the PS3 after you download it?
It works like the others they have on PSN. I noticed that the install app even offers in-game XMB music, so I listened to some of the album while I waited for the rest to download to the hard drive.

And yeah, the unfortunate side effect of the day change is that the PixelJunk deal is only live until today's update.

I've been looking forward to this one myself. Been talking about on my podcast.

I was hoping I would be able to download it before heading off to work. Oh well. Game looks like a ton of fun, though.

You aren't alone lol. I had no clue it was switching to Tuesday until I saw the update. No biggie though.

Ok, I'm not clear on this, if you get the soundtrack, does it come with the dynamic theme included? I saw the soundtrack was 5.99 and the dynamic theme was 2.99... I didn't notice that the soundtrack description says that it comes with the dynamic theme.

How many songs does the soundtrack have, and are they any good?
It was given a TBA release date last week.
Weird. I wonder what the problem is? I wonder if the PSN and Live versions were submitted at the same time and Sony is holding it longer or if it simply isn't ready for psn.

I'm itching to play!

No offense, but I wonder sometimes if anyone reads what Frisky takes the time to write what he finds out (for himself and shares it with and) for us.

He takes up his personal time to inform us of a lot of things many of us would miss out on, I'd say we owe him at least that much to read his posts, considering they cover stuff like this at least 1 or 2 weeks in advance.

Just sayin', give the guy a little respect as he does this for nothin' other than to help out a fellow Playstation Gamer and maybe even get a little (too little sometimes) thanks every now and again.

I know I mentioned it recently, but thanks for all the hard work Frisky, other than the deals I mainly come in the PS3 forum to see what's up and you're the one who is usually the one who knows (and keeps me informed well ahead of the curve) and for that you have my thanks and appreciation. ;) :applause:

I couldn't agree more. I appreciate his efforts, and it saves me a lot of time in deciding what I want to buy each week from the Playstation Store. :applause:

$15 is a bit steep for the MW2 DLC (map pack)... I was hoping they'd change the price come release. I'm just gonna wait for Black Ops.

Also in the video side of the store; Two episodes of 'party down' are up for free (S1: Ep. 6 & S2: Ep. 1) First I've seen it, not bad...may netflix it. Also don't forget Wakeboarding HD dynamic theme is free over on the EU store (it's just the loading screen really)

EU store has the split/second demo the US store hasn't got yet too

What the frick!!! I was waiting for a bundle on those uncharted comics and characters forever and then my ps3 died. Now I get my ps3 back today and all there is are sales on socom, mw2, and rockband.
Are you kidding me? Rockband is OK but those other games are on par with Joe Dirt's turd meteor.
Sooo did anyone else get L&G? Its pretty dope and for $15 probably just saved me from buying RDR on release
thats why i dont get why they would release this game now why would anyone buy it when rdr is just a week or so away? the video of it made it look ok but im waiting to see what people have to say about it.

Season 1 and Season 2 (aired so far) are available on Netflix instant watch along with the other Starz television shows like Gravity and Spartacus (bloody good show).

For people like me who don't really play Single Player games:D So instead of buying RDR for Multiplayer only, I can drop $15 and have my MP needs fulfilled with Lead And Gold. Its basically TF2 wild west. 4 classes is the only drawback IMO. Its a much better value than 1943 for example.

Naw, I want SP as much or more than MP, so I'm going to skip Lead Gold and hold out for RDR. Then again, I'm buying that on 360...but I can't see myself spending even just $15 for a MP-only game. It looks very nice though. I can see myself picking it up on sale and if enough people I know get it....

Last try, If anyone actually purchased Lead & Gold, please add me so we can get some rounds in. Its an awesome game and would be 100x better with teamwork

Yeah, I expect that they will announce it during the press conference like VII last year - though with the updates going to Tuesday maybe just on that week.

So was FFIX any good? I didn't get to play anything since VII (and like 1 - 4 before that). Is it more like VII or more like XIII? Or is it completely different?

Been playing Hyperballoid HD and its biggest issues are that it lacks any really reason for me to care how well I'm doing without leaderboards, high scores, or anything like that to give my play some permanence. I might as well be playing on easy to make unlocking levels easier even though I'll have little reason to keep playing it after that.

I'd easily recommend Shatter or Magic Orbz instead because they have much more replay value with things like leaderboards, high scores, co-op, and multiple modes to make it more fun to play.

It is my favorite one out of the bunch. It is very different as each character is set in their skills. You have a thief, white mage, black mage, tank, red mage, blue mage, a summoner and a lancer. You cannot change their jobs. Each character learns new skills, spells, moves via weapons, clothing and items that you equip. You get experience and skill points? at the end of each battle. So if the black mage as a rod equipped that gives them fira they can only cast fira with that rod equipped. The fira spell might take 30 skill points to master. Once you master it than you can use the spell at any time and not have that rod equipped.

Characters also get ability points. So you set different abilities to each character. Lets say Zidane the main character has 40 ability points. He can equip abilities like experience plus, money plus, health plus, abilities that prevent being blind, being mute, being stoned, and always in trance. Each ability can cost between 2-7 ability points, if not more. So you cant choose them all.

Graphics are the best in my opinion for the PSX FF games. Storyline is well above average with characters that you actually care about. Not enough character development in my opinion though. Setting of the game is pretty old school RPG and non western sci fi like 7 or 8. I am sure the system in the game was compared to the Esper system of 6?

Anyone who Picked up that Puzzle Chronicles, last week encounter problems with it automatically closing the game completely at the end of a battle ?

Sounds interesting... maybe I'll get 8 and 9 at some point. I enjoyed 7 quite a bit, played it on PC.

I feel the same way you do, though I still like the game overall (especially for $4.99). I also hate how you can't save your progress and continue it the next time you play. I found myself just the other night getting bored, and deciding to quit even though I was well on pace for the 200 gems trophy. Also, the game has almost "zero" replay value. Once you've completed all the levels, and earned all the trophies, why would you even bother. A simple leaderboard could have improved this game immensely!

the 200 gems trophy is not in on sitting...I thought the same thing. When I started it up next time (with zero gems) I still ended up getting the trophy after a handful of levels. This and linger in shadows are the only two games I've 100%'d ...sad

I have both Shatter and Magic Orbs and I found Hyperballoid HD to be pretty fun. It's a little more old school, more like Arkanoid, but more complex and in HD. I'd say that if you already have Shatter and Magic Orbs, and you like brick breaking games, then Hyperballoid is pretty fun.
