Here's what's coming to PS+ for January:
Happy New Year from the PlayStation Plus team! As many of you know, PlayStation Plus is the subscription service from PlayStation Network that gets you access to free games, huge discounts, and great exclusives across the network. And we’re kicking off the New Year in a big way!

This month’s spotlight free PSN Game is none other than Telltale’s Back to the Future The Game – Full Series. All of the episodes from this acclaimed adventure game are available for you to download starting with the January 3rd PlayStation Store update. We’re also including PSN Game Sword and Soldiers with tomorrow’s update. This side-scrolling strategy game lets you control an entire army while wielding devastating magical abilities.

Free PS one Classics make their rounds this month in the form of the original Syphon Filter games. Syphon Filter 1, 2 and 3 will be available free, for the entire month starting also with the next Store update.

The PlayStation Store regularly holds events and sales for all PSN members throughout the year, and Plus always gives an extra leg-up in taking advantage of these sales. This month is no different as we’re gearing up to launch our 12 for ’12 sale. 12 PSN Games to kick of 2012 will be on sale for one week starting Jan 17th. We can’t reveal what the games are just yet, but if you love PSN games, you’re going to see a lot of great first-time sales on titles and get them 50% off with PlayStation Plus.

You’ll find plenty more in the way of discounts this month on standout titles like Crysis, Burnout Crash!, Gatling Gears and more. And apparently they are free..and you are right, they are VERY hard to play now, at least for me. I tried to play SF1 a while back and it was so bad I couldnt play through one level.
 
I'm sure that it has to do with the Plus trial and that it isn't really going to stick but Darksiders, as in the for purchase version not the 60 minute trial, lets me download it as if I've paid for it.

Normal for trials and I just missed it before I'm guessing?

So nostalgic though. These were by far my favorite games back in HS I can remember when they first came out how many times my brothers and I played through them. I am long to do my best to try and run through them again. I wish they would revive this game for at least one new one for the PS3!
 
Oh cool, so Back to the Future is free to PSN+ members. I was planning on buying that for $10 from Gamestop, glad I renewed. I've also been wanting to play the Syphon Filter games that were on the original Playstation. Thanks.

I LOVED the first but it didnt matter. Cant play Ps1 games anymore. Only sprite based games are bearable.

Wow, $30 for Need for Speed DLC? That's like a whole 'nother game. I just ordered the game itself from Amazon yesterday, hopefully it's good enough without too much DLC.
 
If Dante's Inferno All DLC is $10.99 and Dante's Inferno Game + All DLC is $14.99 why can't I buy just the game for $4.99?

I'm actually not interested in the game, or the DLC but $4.99 would be my pick up point.

I think I will get Crysis along with Burnout Crash this week. I passed up Burnout on sale twice, so third time must be a charm. I will also pickup Rochard next week. Been waiting for it to go on sale after deciding against it the first week on sale at $8 for PSPlus subs. Glad I waited.

I really want to play Choplifter HD, but since it works out when I wait for games (see above) I might as well wait for a sale on it as well. I just cant pay $15 for a PSN game with all the sales for PSPlus.
 
I liked Rochard (Rock hard, baby) but couldnt even finish the demo. Couldnt get the freeze time mechanics in one of the puzzles just right to jump across. Game over.

ICO – In Sony Computer Entertainment’s exclusive adventure ICO, a young boy with horns is born in every generation to be traditionally sacrificed in order to cleanse the local community of evil spirits. Amy – From the original creator of Flashback, Amy is an innovative survival horror title. Cars 2: The Video Game – Cars 2: The Video Game brings players inside the international training center CHROME (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations and Motorized Espionage), where they choose from more than 20 different characters and train to become world class spies. Of the four platformers that are on sale, they're all good, but I'd recommend them in this order: Rochard, Rocketbirds, Sideway, BloodRayne.

Get the demo of Okabu. I was looking forward to it until I played it, then I couldn't delete it fast enough. The only good price is if they pay you to play it.

Also get the demo for Eufloria. It's a port of a web game, and I thought control was horrendous. Reviews are also really mixed.

I'm definitely picking up Sideway, and maybe Rochard.

All those appearances by the creators of Amalur on the different podcasts this past week has really gotten me pumped for the game. I'm hoping the demo does the game justice - RPG demos are always a little iffy.

I dont have trouble signing in, but 10 minutes after doin it I get an error message and signed out. Signs back in automatically and normally its fine after that.

Anyone elses previously DLed titles list get super disorganized recently? It looks like they bumped all my PS+ items up to the day when it was supposed to expire (even though it didn't), and all the other items are just in a random order. It jumps from 2009, to 2011, and back. Very strange, and very frustrating if you are actually looking for something in that list.
