Of the ones on the poll, a toss up between Black Sabbath and the Beatles, with an edge to the Beatles. Longevity, novelty, groundbreaking, etc. None of the other bands will even be remembered 10-20 years down the road.

Ramones
All of them have made a long lasting, indelible mark on the music industry. I can't think of any bands who have been active in the last 10 years or so that have done the same. Genres, sure: prefab boy bands, pop-tarts, and lipsyncing dancers; but those are the kind of history we don't like to talk about. MAYBE Nirvana, for starting the grunge thing; although they get a couple bonus publicity points for Kurt swallowing the shotgun.
