What's the best spyware program to use?

IMHO, there's not one particular program that is "the best" - but there is a combination of good ones to use together - SpyBot and AdAware.

I believe you mean anti-spyware.

I personally recommend using Adaware and Spybot: Search and Destroy in conjunction, as they both catch stuff the other doesnt.

edit: damn, WBD just beat me to it

Get Spyware Blaster too... unlike the other two mentioned, this one uses it's database of adware/spyware to block potential problems for IE and Firefox. It'll also get rid of stuff you already have if it has it in the database.

It actually helped me out once when AdAware and SpyBot failed.:)
my friend told me use spy sweeper. i think the full name is Webroot SpySweeper
When I worked at the Geek Squad at Best Buy, this is the one we were told to offer all the customers. It worked OK I guess, but I didnt notice it doing anything the free versions of AdAware or Spybot already covered.

Spyware doctor finds the most shit imo... you won't be able to find a free version that updates anymore though. 29.99

I'm with this guy. Spyware Doctor found stuff for me that slipped through Ad Aware and Spybot. You can also set it to actively scan for stuff so you don't get it in the first place.
