what's the difference between a japanese ps2 and an american one?

what's the difference between a japanese ps2 and an american one? i need to know before i do something that i'll regret.
 
the japanese one plays NTSC-japanese games only and has a smaller penis, the other plays U.S. releases. that's all.

Yes you can, as long as you kno how to speak Engrish (that and the US PS2 has to be chipped or with a softloader).
