Whether you were attempting a dare, eating an ethnic food, trying something new, on the receiving end of a creation from a terrible cook, or recreating a scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, what was the most disgusting thing you've ever eaten? Humorous puking stories accepted.
 
Recently... (and I like everything to preface the weight of this)... a guava...



maybe it was a weird guava but that spit is NASTY! gritty like toothpaste.. grim taste... ugh
 
Raw pork sausage patties. I mistook them for cooked, as they were a sort of gray colour. I think they might have just been real old though.
 
MY parent's friends brought over this asian soup thing for us. It was really good, but one bowl had an unexpected ingredient in it. I knew something was wrong when the soup started to be crunchy, but before I realized something had happened, after about the 3rd or 4th chew, I spat out the thing. I touched my mouth and felt a sharp ragged stick thing. I pulled it in front of my eyes and... yup. It was a leg of something. I looked at the mess and saw a crunchied up cockroach.
 
Cooked goat. It didn't help that my gf's mom was shoving it in my face proclaiming QUE RICO over and over. It's not exactly a great way to score points with la familia.

I'm right there with you. Tomatoes are disgusting. Bananas, however, are the worst .. I can hardly smell a banana without gagging.

aw bananas? those are good, especially in smoothies.

i guess the fruit that makes me gag is durian. i think thats what im thinking of. it smells disgusting.

But bananas are really disgusting. Worst fruit evar. But the worst thing I've ever eaten was.. Calamari. At Bisettis, a small italian restaurant in town. Nothing says 'good eatin' like slimy tentacles and a swishy, salty thing that sticks to your throat as you swallow.

I don't know about goat, but lamb-kabobes are fucking delicious. Lamb is the staple meat in Greece.

I can't stand bananas. They're too gooey, and some of them are starchy. Bleh.

As for worst food ever, it's a tie between cole slaw and potato salad.
 
I don't like raw tomatoes, either. I mean, I can eat them, but I really don't like them raw that much.

I don't eat raw bananas, either. They make my throat itch for some reason.
 
Probably a cicada. Ate a couple that were roasted in an oven and then just decided to eat a raw one. Those suckers have fairly bitter juice, especially when raw.

That's the worst part about visiting my family in Georgia. My clock is two hours behind their's, so I feel tired two hours later than them, but when I try to go to sleep, the damn cicadas are always chirping. :bomb:
 
Meatloaf its just so fucking disgusting. when I smell meatloaf I want to gag. It so fucking disgusting its just a huge fucking hamburger with big chunks of bell peppers and onions that sit in grease.

Let me add to this my list

1. Meatloaf
2. Bell peppers

4. stuff bell peppers

I agree, bell peppers are bad. They're bitter. But onions are great. Especially those little ones- Pearl onions. Godliness.

i hate meatloaf and bell peppers too. i have to force it down whenever i had to eat peppers.
 
I posted this before, but A few years back I found the travel bag I took on my 8th grade school trip to Washington D.C. Inside were some jellybeans that had fallen out of the package and had remained in the pocket since that day (I'm 20 now). I ate them to see what "gray" tasted like.

I might have to agree. Just a small taste of it makes me vomit. I pretty much hate all condiments, it seems, but mayonnaise is absolutely terrible.

Bell peppers are good. Especially when you grill them with onions and top them on steaks and such. Also something tasty to try is mixing diced bell pepper and onion into hamburger patties and then grilling them... :drool:

Mushroom pizza. :drool: I don't mind bell peppers, but I refrain from eating them.

When it comes to ethnic food, shit, I'll try try haggis when I get the chance. It usually just looks like shephard's pie in a sausage casing (I know it's not really sausage casing), so I don't mind.

Durians are nasty! What's even worse is Durian Creme Wafers! (really, get them at your local Asian market for $1, they smell like Limburger cheese, but worse and the smell lingers forever)

But, anyway, I've eaten silk worm, jellyfish, and baby squid. Silk worm was probably the best (if you could call it that, it had a nutty flavor), jellyfish was EXTREMELY chewy (more so then squid), and baby squid was just plan nasty because you eat it eyes and all.
 
I hate seafood. The other night my GF made me eat a shrimp. I thought I would throw up, it was just so disgusting.
