What's the trade in value for a brand new DS phat at E/B? I need a DS Lite and I just wanted to know if I could expect to get more money by trading it in instead of selling it. This thread can be locked once the question is answered.
 
there was a special where you could get $70 for your DS toward a DS Lite. then that ended. then there was a special where you could get $60 for your DS toward a DS Lite. then THAT ended.

now i think you get around $40 or something.
 
At GC I was quoted $46 when I was thinking about trading mine in for a lite.. but that's changed and the used price of a DS is now $79.99.. so I would think around $30-$35
 
I sold mine on eBay for ~$100 a few weeks ago. Granted it was an import phat with manuals, box, etc., but I don't think a standard one would've sold ofr much less in the condition it was in.

I'd maybe try that route.
 
Wow. At those prices you're better off just keeping it and using it as a multiplayer system. That's what I did with my old DS Phat.
 
do the ebay way, i got $60 for mine, it had a broken hinge and the bottom screen had a grid pattern scratched into from playing zoo keeper without a screen protector
 
speaking of ebay.... I am thinking of selling the fugly brick ds and 3 games. Would it be better to sell them in one "package" or to sell them seperatley?
 
depends a lot on the games. selling them together will never get you _more_ money, but if the games aren't really great games, it's easier just to list them together so you only have to make one auction and mail one package.
 
actually the games are pretty high profile. They are:

Star Fox Command
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
