Whats the worst game you have ever played thread.

CAGiversary!
whats the worst game you have ever played ? or what was the bigest disapointment on a game you thought would be great but was realy bad ?.

mgs4. instead of being a game with cutscenes its basically cutscenes momentarily broken up by game play every so often. imo the series went from the greatness of mgs on the ps1 and got weirder and more random with each version after it. definetly a game for me that didnt live up to its hype. in a funny bit i think you can track kojima slowly going insane with each game after mgs ps1.

Worst game? Damnation. Got it kicked down to me by my uncle shortly after launch and the only thing it was good for was getting $20 bucks out of it.

Geometry Wars. Worst and biggest disappointment. After years of hearing how GREAT it is i decide to try it. Nothing good about it at all.

There was a SNES game with 3 robots that was the worst thing I ever played...but after an hour and multiple google searches I can't remember the name. It was so broken I couldn't get past the first level.

So since I can't think of the name of that one, I'll go with Stormrise. I was really excited about that game (love post apocalyptic stuff) but this was such a disjointed mess.

When I imported a Playstation 1 about 8 months before the US release, the Japanese games were $100-150 each. I got one called Cosmic Race....Hot damn, I can't even BEGIN to convey how horrible a game this was. Its SO bad I have looked for a copy to keep so I could say I own the worst home system game ever made.
Picture this. A hover car racing game, in space, with a holographic "road" one pixel thick that you pass right through...and you are supposed to stay on the road, even though you have 360 degrees of movement. it was IMPOSSIBLE to play. If you got off to the side of the road, then you couldn't SEE the road because it was so thin. Also, did I forget to say that it was a RACING game and that your opponents magically stayed glued to the road? So they would race each other while you just floated in space, spinning around and trying to FIND the road. Damn I get so mad THINKING about that game.

And after all of that, if I had to say a game that came out over here that I hated, it would be Jet Force Gemini for the N64. Nintendo built up the hype of THAT pile of crap for like a YEAR before it came out, took $70 of my money and pissed me off.
Fighting Force 2 - Dreamcast

AWFUL
Yeah I remember that game really making me angry too.

Hyperdyne Side Arms (Capcom) was a really fun arcade shooter for two players.

Loved it! When I saw it at Toys R Us for the Commodore 64 I bought it so that me and my friend could play this great game.

The home version was AWFUL! The bosses weren't even represented with any graphics except for a little white dot that flashed when you shot it.

Really terrible, total disappointment

Oh GOD! And how could I forget Big Rigs- Over the Road Racing for the PC?!? My "friend" bought that game for me as a joke, I later found out. In one of those rare "This game is SOOO bad, it's CLASSIC bad", situations. Look this one up on youtube. Good god that game was broken to the point you would play it just to see how much WORSE it can get. A freaking semi-truck racing game where your opponent never actually moves? Yeah, it's got that. It also has a semi-truck that can drive up mountains! We are talking about 90 degree mountain sides...also, it can magically drive THROUGH buildings and bridges. So when you come to a bridge, you actually drive THOUGH the bridge, go down the river bank....through the water and then drive back up the opposite side and through the bridge again. Also, you can do 1000 mph turns on a dime! PLEASE watch this video if you really want to see something funny!

On PS3: Sonic the Hedgehog (buggy garbage). I'd also throw in most (not all, but most) of the Minis, with Hero of Sparta at the top of the list. I find most Minis to be crappy shovelware. I got Hero of Sparta for free and I feel like I overpaid.

On Consoles: Starfox Adventures (GC) (for disappointment mixed with crappiness), Real Time Conflict: Shogun Empires (DS) (broken), Roogoo Twisted Towers (Wii) (broken, annoying), FlingSmash (Wii) (broken garbage), Samba de Amigo (Wii) (broken).

on PC: Kings Quest VIII. KQ7 gets on a lot of "worst of" lists, but Mask of Eternity makes it look like a masterpiece. Easily one of the crappiest, most disappointing "games" I ever "played".

Last gen it was definitely Dragonball Z Sagas. Holy crap that was bad, I was a huge Dbz fanboy at the time and I could look past the flaws of the Budokai series and Tenkaichi, but Sagas was just terrible. I remember trying to return it a day later. Most disappointing was God of War. It was okay, but everybody at the time was saying it was GotY worthy and I didn't think it was any where near that.

This gen the worst game I played hands down is Rag Doll Kung-fu. It was free for awhile on the PSN, but it was still so terrible. I can't believe some people paid $10 for it. Most disappointing was Alpha Protocol. I remember reading on here that while the combat was bad, it wasn't terrible and that the dialogue/choice system makes up for it. It doesn't. The combat is horrid and the dialogue system wasn't anything good enough to keep me interested.

This video just made my day. I REALLY want to play this game now, it looks hilariously broken.

Mario time machine. I got it as a gift from my dad who prob saw Mario n thought it was good. I was like 8 at the time so any game was cool but not this turd ! I hated this game so so much. I don't want to come home from school turn on my snes and learn some history. Plus is was super hard like college basic history hard. I'm fucking 8 !

You're welcome ;)

Worst game I ever played? Some of you are too young to know, but anyone old enough to have been alive and played it, no it is in fact the worst game ever...yes, I am talking about ET for NES. Worst game ever, period. No ifs ands or buts about it.

I played that! One of the robots was blue, the other was some kind of wolf right? My nostalgia-inflicted memories say it wasn't that bad (though I do remember it being somewhat frustrating) but I can't remember the name at all. EDIT: Xardion!

I played KQ7 when it came out. Compared to V and VI, it wasn't that great, but it certainly doesn't belong on a "worst of" list.

Biggest disappointment for me was either Class of Heroes, Black & White, for Final Fantasy Tactics A2.

I managed to get to the end of CoH, but the last boss fucking cheats up the ass. Black & White did nothing it promised, and my game got corrupted after a day or two. FFTA2... I finally got around to playing it recently, after waiting for a year for it to be released. At 115 hours, last fight, and 250+/500 quests done, it's still a disappointment.
Superman 64 by a fucking mile
This. I rented this game one weekend from Blockbusters excited because it looked just like the Kids WB cartoon. MAN DID IT SUCK! It was pretty much unplayable thanks to the damn hoops. Even when I cheated and went to a later level, it still sucked.

ET never came out for NES. youre talking about the atari one.

Sadly I bought it (well my mom technically). I think games were crazy expensive back then too. I did the exact same as you, I couldn't get past those rings and ended up cheating to get to another level and I still dreaded playing it. Thank god my mom was able to return it to EB

I don't care what anyone else says Superman 64 is the correct answer. If you don't believe me, just watch:

The answer is true only if you've played it. I avoided it like the plague.

Dragonball Z Ultimate Battle 22. Ugh was that bad we returned the game after 5 hours and I bought Digimon World 2 which was on clearance and 10x better.

I remember playing ET, lol it was horrible but MW2 is still worse becuase of the time period it came out in. Aim assist, quick draws, knifing people from 15 yards away, spawning with 2 grenade launcher shots, joining games and being killed by 4 consecutive predator missles in my first game ever.
That would have to be Rascal for the PS1.
I cannot believe someone else actually played that thing...

I'm so sorry you had to go through with that.

Fun Fact: The company that made the game was also behind that FANTASTIC game, Sonic R!

I was about 7 when I rented it.I was stunted by how terrible it was.

Biggest disappointment would be inFamous 2. It is by no means a "bad game", but it didn't live up to my expectations and all that alien stuff was unnecessary

My worst games:
DS...Rayman Raving Rabbits TV Party, runner up goes to Star Fox Command

PS3... Just got this system, but Haze is in my backlog.

For PS3? Or in general? This seems like it should be in General Gaming.

Worst PS3 game I played was Sonic 2006/7. However, I somehow enjoyed it despite its' terribleness.

Worst game in general is Superman 64. Why? Uh...really obvious.

I would bet that most people have not played ET. It is not that bad of a game. The amount of absolute shit on the Atari is remarkable. ET is nowhere near the very bottom of that list.

I totally agree with you. Most people that say ET sucks weren't even born in that era. Heck, I never did get all the hate for that game. It was one of the few 2600 games with a STORY. It's not even in the worse 50% of 2600 games.

its not just for ps3, its for all consoles.
im just saying me personaly naughty bear for ps3 was the worst game i played on the ps3.

Final Fantasy 12 for the PS2. I loved the previous FF7-9. 10 was ok. But 12, after 40hrs into it, I just wasn't into the story. Felt like the game lacked substance.

There's to many to name. Kane & Lynch 2, Big Mother Truckers,Dark Void, Superman 64.

Mario is missing was my least favorite. I saw the title and assumed it was like a regular Mario game since it didn't have any boxart and there wasn't internet then to look it up.

I got that home and was so pissed.
