That E.T. video doesn't show quite enough of why it's so bad. I'd still like to know why the man in the coat touches you and walks away while the doctor grabs you. Why is there a flower in that pit at times? Why do you die when that counter reaches 0? And why does Elliot walk around for no reason? The only part of E.T. I like is the sound effects of ET, especially when his neck goes up and down and sounds like he's saying "yawn".
Dragonball Z Ultimate Battle 22. Ugh was that bad we returned the game after 5 hours and I bought Digimon World 2 which was on clearance and 10x better.
I rented Ultimate Battle 22. It's the only time I brought the game back the same day I got it. 20 minutes I'll never get back.
The first Assasin's Creed. I wanted to go in order, and it ALMOST made me consider never giving another AC game a chance again. It took FAR too long for business to pick up. Considering how I loved the later ones only cements how much I disliked that game. Man, I would join a support group if I had to play some of the games listed...
I don't know how far you got, but I couldn't stand the walking missions. The games goes from pushing people away as you walk in a training exercise to walking slower to act like a priest or monk or whatever. Too much walking and running. I was better off watching Lord of the Rings than playing this overrated game.
------------------------------
As for worst game I've ever played? Possibly mentioned, but Batman Dark Tomorrow was just horrible. Couldn't play for more then 10 minutes before I threw it on the shelf never to be played or touched again. Makes me throw up in my mouth repeatedly everytime I think about it
Which is worse: the punching or the jumping? And to think they actually had a writer from DC pen the story which may have ended up being good.
The first once? I actually really liked the first once... but the second was God awful
I liked the first Fighting Force too ... until I played Level 2 and saw how repetitive it was. The only thing I liked in it was having the choice of which level to go to next.
I will nominate Superman for the NES. On the cover, there's a big picture of Superman. When you reach the title screen, there's a big picture of Superman. When you press start, I saw Donkey Kong Jr. in blue pajamas. That's how small and fat Superman looks for the rest of the game. Worst 87 cents I ever spent. Shame on you for selling this, Gamestop.
I will also mention the NES Wizardry for the sheer fact that I don't know how to start the game. All I saw were customizing screens. I take that back - once I got to the gameplay. Never in my life have I seen so many white lines. From then on, I hated mazes.
For SNES, I will go with Super Wrestlemania. Everyone has the same moveset: Punch, kick, legdrop, run, and climb rope. No special moves or anything.
I also didn't like Populous. Like Wizardry, I didn't understand how you were suppose to play the game.
Last SNES I'll mention is Captain America and the Avengers. I loved the arcade version and thought this would be just like it. Graphics were ok, but the controls were so bad (not Bayou Billy bad but still bad) that I felt bad when my mom paid $60 at Babbages for it at the time.
I can't think of any PS1 titles right away, but I heard the game versions of The Fifth Element and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker are terrible.
For PS2, definitely Devil May Cry. Combat went on for so long that it felt like a chore every time I went into a room and fought enemies.
I was very disappointed with Infamous and its sensitive controls. I was also not fond of using electricity all the time and wanted some hand to hand combat action.
