Wow, I really have never bought anything from an EB Games before because there was never one near me. Well now I work right next to one and I go their during my break and I have bought 3 games so far and have had about 10 stickers on them, its annoying and it only leaves sticker resude on it. I can't even get some stickers off on one of them.

Buying the games I was expecting them to be like GameCrazy stickers which peel off really nice.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get these stickers off, or just to vent on EB Games.

Goo-gone, the answer to all of our sticker residue problems... Oh, and I hate EB. I will only order from them if they have a crazy low price on something online like Counterstrike recently for $9.99.

No kidding, I got a few used games from EB online and one of them literally had about 10 stickers on it. It was sticker upon sticker upon sticker. I wish they would stop putting those big ass yellow "Played it? Trade it!" stickers on EVERY game. Anyone who can come out of an EB store and NOT know that they accept trade in games is not going to figure it out from the sticker either.

I don't know if all Gamerush's do this but at mine they put their stupid fuckin stickers right on the art insert instead of on the case, i didn't even realize it when i bought a game there and i was really pissed, i didn't think any store was that stupid, so taking stickers off a case is nothing compared to that. But if it is REALLY bad you can just replace the case, you can get official replacements with a little look online for like a dollar a piece, not too bad if they are REALLY bad that even goo cone can't fix.

And on a side note, i hate those paper cases, they need to stop releasing movies in those garbage cases, and re-release all of the other movies they ever released in those cases, and anyone that bought them, should get a free new case for having to put up with that shit.

Yea those stickers are truely the worst thing ever, if they had a taste it would be like spam wrapped in spinage dipped in caggabe soup. What I do is get new dvd cases and use those, does anyone know a good site to buy those on because I try real hard to get them offline.

just go to ur local mall .. or aywhere that has the AOL free trial discs in the plastic dvd cases... take the AOL insert/cd out.. and put the game stuff in... works for ps2 games.. it wont match xbox games thought.. not the same kind as the Gamecube ones either..

I hate all those stickers too!! I have passed on buying somes games due to the DAMN stickers.

I use Goo-gone to get them off, then wash the case real good once the sticky stuff is off. After they dry, I put everything back in and it looks just fine.

If the case is beyond saving, I just replace it. I get lots of DVD cases and some game cases from Blockbuster....

Back when I was working at a local EB a few years back, we would always put shrink-wrap around the "gutted" copy on the shelves specifically so that the stickers didn't get directly on the product. Over the years though, the stores have all gotten lazy and placing the stickers onto the actual games is wrong and downright rude.

EB is the closest and most convenient game store to my apartment, but I can't stand all the stickers they put on game.

There have been several times when I've asked for a brand new game, and they go over and get the display copy with 3-4 stickers all over it, and I have told the clerk, "Actually, if it's the display copy I don't want it."

I refuse to pay full price for a game whose case is ruined by having stickers all over it.

Even more crazy, whenever there's a new release, the EB stores around here gut and display 3-6 copies! And they'll just stick these 3-6 display copies right next to one another.

At least the Gamestops around here shrinkwrap the display copies and then stick the stickers on the shrinkwrapping! :/

yes Eb is just lazy we can all agree, now where do you get aol disks in a dvd case, the ones i see at blockbuster are in stupid paper packages.

What's with all the EB bashing today?

And seriously, YOU are the lazy one if you can't grab an AOL DVD case or ANY other case for that matter and switch it out.

shut your mouth, this is an eb bashing thread. the eb ass kissing thread is elsewhere.

EB/gamestop sucks.....i refuse to shop there....but i ALWAYS recieve games with the stickers.....and i cant get em off so i end up shipping them out when im done with them that way as well.

one day i went to EB and loved it....i then saw a megaman 2 for nes priced around 35 bucks with NO LABEL ON IT....the label was peeled off and it said megaman3 on it in sharpie marker......that was one step that made me hate EB.....then their retarded prices/stickers......then their stupid ass workers

The Gamestops around me have become lazy, they used to put the new game cases out for diisplay in a plastic slip case with the price stickers on that. Now they just put the case out with the sticker on the case. I hate that, I will only buy the display if its a deal that I can't pass up.

You will soon realize that around here we bash EB every day ;)

Maybe your EB is just worse than mine. Granted, I've worked for the local one, but I've never had a problem with them at all.

If you compare the two cases, there is a SLIGHT color difference (PS2 cases are a dark dark blue instead of a black) and they dont have the memory card slot.

Paint thinner will remove the sticky residue. I have removed stickers (very annoying!) from at least a dozen game cases and haven't had any trouble with discoloration.

Hmmm, nobody ever told me where I could find these aol dvd cases, every place that gives out the free aol disks gives them in small paper things.
