When is the best time to activate PSN+?

Just ordered a Plus card and was wondering when would be the best time of the month to activate it in order to take advantage of the free games at the same time maximizing my membership length. I would say towards the end of the month?

Membership is the same length whether you start it on the 12th vs 30th, so there really is no difference when you start it.

I guess you should activate it right before they update the store (I believe they give themselves a 12-hour window every Tuesday, but I don't know the specific time stamps) so you can still get all the games that might be retired from the Instant Game Collection, and you're not wasting any days waiting for the new batch.

Ideally you would've activated it before this week's update since they retired Ratchet & Clank All 4 One, inFamous 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2, but alas...

I would say wait until the next 3 free month promo. However, if you are not currently a PS+ member now would be as good a time as any so you can take advantage of the new crop of free games. Also, do yourself a favor and invest in a bigger HDD.
