Where Can I find Star Trek The Next Generation DVD sets cheap?

CAGiversary!
I'm looking to buy these sets used and save some money. I'm tired of fighting and losing countless auctions on Ebay for these, and Amazon prices are near 100 bucks. Half.com is littered with Asian knockoffs as well. The only other place I can find them used online is gohastings.com, but their site always says "out of stock". Any other places to look? Thanks

I was about to say eBay but you already mentioned that. I did get DS9 Season 1 for $50 used (legit Region 1 edition). Don't give up, it is worth the time to get a good deal on em beetlegum. Good luck. :)

i was just messin around.

i think the startrek series milks it too much... and sadly everyone buys it when it comes out.

every TV show released on dvd should be a max of $50-60 a peice not friggin 120+

I've been looking around and what spoo put is probably your best bet... thats a gigantic chunk of change to throw out though.

Another option is to get the Season 1-7 48 disc box set from Deepdiscountdvd.com. They have it for $540, but if you can hold out for their twice a year 20% off sale (which should be sometime in May or June I believe) the price would become $432. As someone else said, that's still a big chunk of change to drop all at once, but at the $432 price, it works out to roughly $61.70 per set. You'd be hard pressed to find them cheaper than that new.

I typically buy mine from Amazon.com or Ebay. I usually spend between 60 or 70 for a season. You just have to be patient for a good deal. Sometimes Amazon doesn't have a seller that is selling one cheap enough, and ebay, does take some patience. My only other option is a local store that sells them used for 50, and new for 75. Unfortunately they haven't had the season I've wanted in stock when I want it :)

DDD 20% off sale. Slightly more than you can find on EBay and Amazon sellers, but much better customer service if it shows up damaged (multi-disc sets like this sometimes have discs come loose. Not too often, but when you're spending this kind of money, they should at least be in pristine condition).

Thanks for the info. I almost got seasons 2 - 7 for a steal on Amazon. A seller had them at 307, but she didn't give any descriptions, and I was afraid it might be Asian versions. By the time, she emailed me, the set had already sold. Argh.

Any idea when the next DDD sale is?

It should be coming up soon. I think the last one was right around Thanksgiving, and if you figure 6 months between sales, it would be about a month from now. If you register at the site (it's free) and give them an e-mail address, they'll e-mail you sale notifications, and if/when they run the 20% sale again, they'll send you a password to use for the discount.

Or just keep checking this site. When it comes around, someone will put up a thread with passwords in it.

Could you provide a link please? I can't seem to find what you described on the DDD site.

Edit: After some poking around, I found it. I probably never would have, if you hadn't mentioned it. Thanks Danimal!
