Where's the best place to buy cheap Disneyland tickets? Are there any promotions going on? I wanna take my girlfriend to Disneyland for our anniversary next month and am hoping to get some kinda discount considering it costs $60 per ticket(!). Anybody know of any promotions right now? Any supermarkets offering deals?

Try buying tickets at your college's boxoffice. If you dont go to college, have a friend or relative that does help you. You'll save about $20-$30 per ticket.

I would say check your local supermarket or check like the packaging of sodas... I know around here they have coupons for Universal Studios and Six Flags on soda cans... not sure about Disneyland though.

When I went to Disney World in FL, there were a ton of stands that lend you their Family Passes for like 40 per pass but when you return the pass they give you back 10 so it's 30 total. Not a bad deal for a spur of the moment thing with the family. Dunno if they have any of those in Cali tho.

For one day passes, I think it is rare that you find a deal on them. I think your best bet would be if you can have a friend or family member in the military buy your tickets on base. And just so you know, the $60 tickets you're talking about are for only one park, either Disneyland or California Adventure, meaning you cannot go from one park to another. This probably isn't an issue though, since you're only going for one day, and Disneyland is where the "main" attractions are. I don't know when your anniversary is, but if possible, try to go on a weekday, preferably Tues, Wed, or Thurs. Avoid Saturday if you can, it's really packed in the summer.

How long ago was that? They use biometrics (fingerprints) to connect you to your ticket upon entry now. We were just there in May of this year. People still try to sell unused portions from multi-day ticket purchases. If you try to enter with one you will be denied.

It was around August/Sept of last year. It worked when I went. Maybe they changed it since then.

I'd love to go on a weekday but the biggest reason why I'm taking her to Disneyland is that she LOVES the fantasmic show and they don't have it on weekdays when I want to go.

What? They killed off the weekday shows to it?

As for cheap tickets I know AAA had some great disney discounts as well as colleges. Or if you know any friends who work at other theme parks hit them up because they get them for less than dirt.

My route = Have friends who work @ disney sign you in :D. Or offer an employee $30 to sign you and her in to the park (the tickets are valid for both).

Disc: I dunno if bribing employees is illegal/immoral/etc but it works and everyone likes free crash cuz they get paid shit.

Bump for anybody that has any current deals *crosses fingers*

I still haven't checked my local college box office. I'll be doing that in a few days, hopefully they'll be able to offer SOMETHING.

Hey is the main house band still Atlantis?

I made a thread regarding this a few months back. I came to the conclusion there aren't a lot of deals out there for D-land tickets. I really want to go this year, so I'll probably just cough up the bucks.

I also want to tag Universal studios, particularly for the Terminator 2 - 3d ride. I REALLY want to check this out. There are some other fun things to do at Universal...

I know that UCLA has Disneyland tickets for 51 a pop. Looking at USC's website, they offer the same deal. If you attend a Cal State, they offer theme park discounts too but I'm not sure if they have any exclusions.

If these are no good, Costco offers a 4 day pass for 120 bucks. A little steep but you get 2 days free I guess.

Wow, that Costco deal sounds pretty nice, especially considering that it looks like I'll be paying full price for the damn tickets. Do you know if they offer a 2 day pass?

I noticed that Disneyland doesn't let you buy the single, regular ticket online. Anybody have problems buying their tickets the day of? Or should I just head over to a local Disney store (where i THINK they might sell them for full price)?

You got that right. I've been checking for a few months and not a single good deal has come up. I don't understand how Disney hasn't taken over the world considering how much money their making off the park; tickets still sell out regardless of people paying upwards of $50-60 a ticket, while places like Six Flags let you go in for about $20-$25 (no wonder they are thinking of selling their company).

Dont know if you can still do it, but last year when I took my kids, we bought passes off someone who bought 5 day passes and only used 3 days. Paid ~$50 for 2 adults and 2 kids. We only used one day and sold them to someone else for $30. I heard that last summer they started IDing people to stop that practice though.

Costco Disneyland Tickets

That's pretty much all they offer but I believe that is one of the cheapest prices out there.

As for buying tickets, as long as it's not a holiday like July 4 you should be fine. Besides, you will be there early so it should be no problem as they open the ticket booths before the gate to Disneyland. There will be lines to buy tickets but think of it as a preview of what you will be doing all day inside the park;)

When you go, try to park in the Timon and Simba, or the Lion King parking lot. It's much closer to the gates plus it's not as busy as the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure. And if you want to do something special, eat at the Blue Bayou, the restraunt inside the Pirates of the Caribbean. Call ahead to make reservations and request a table near the water. Make sure you reserve a table at lunch because it's cheaper than dinner. The portions are huge so expect to pay about $20 a person including drinks. But it's worth it because you'll be having the best food in the park that's open to the public. The number for the reservation is 1-714-781-3463 if you wanted it.
