Does anyone know of any stores that are getting the Wii in tomorrow morning? It isn't in the Target or Best Buy, but at this point I want one so damn bad. Anyone got any tips?

I don't think they will have Wii's this week. Just hang in there... you will get it, eventually.

whether or not they are in the ad doesnt matter...go 10 minutes before your local best buy opens and then just bounce around from stor to store

If you're willing to wait, go to azgrabber.com on Tuesday. Wiis are usually available at the cheapest retail price ($250 no tax/shipping) on there during the afternoon.

Wiis were not in the Best Buy or the Circuit City Sunday ad for 12/30 so there is no guarantee they will have them this morning.

You basically have to be in the right place at the right time. Toys R Us had them Thursday. Of course I learn this after the fact.

I did find one Wii at a Toys R Us but they were forcing people to buy the warranty so I left the store.

Spokker, what's so wrong with buying the added warranty? I feel more secure in buying the PRP's for my electronics because 'shit happens'. And, it's those times that you least expect, but that MAY happen that will have you WISHING you bought that PRP or warranty for 'just a few bucks more'.

In the last couple gaming gens console manufacturers gave you a piddily 90 days for a warranty(unless you live in one of those awesome states that don't allow the limited warranty bullshit) and guess when/if some defect would probably rear it's ugly head? You guessed it, on day 91, when your warranty from the factory was gone and you're SOL.

So, for stuff like game consoles and really anything that has moving parts and may eventually break down, I like getting the PRP/warranty for peace of mind.

It sure as hell beats sending the items off to the manufacturer(as in the case of the RROD 360's, which have turnaround times taking a MONTH or better in many cases), since you can just go to BB/TRU/CC with your item and a sad look on your face and your PRP/warranty slip in hand and say 'it's broken' and most times, you'll get a replacement ON THE SPOT and be back out and on with your life.

As for the OP's topic(sorry for the rambling diatribe there), just keep a vigilant eye out and you'll score a Wii eventually. Of course, if you're only trying to score one to resell, good luck amongst the flood of resellers on Ebay.

Spokker's gotta be bsing. ive been there several times when wii's were there, and never even heard the cashier even ask the customer about the warranty.

Even so, Whats the big deal? Say no, purchase item, move on .

Turnaround times suck though for some items at BB, my hd dvd player died and they had to send it away.. its an HD-A2, and they dont make them anymore.. garbage -_-V

Anyways back to topic. Thanks cheapest for getting me off.. topic too ^_^

Costco/Sam's Club are your best bet this week. Maybe try Walmart or Toys r us.

See, but that's why I buy the PRP(product replacement plan) from BB, Ice. With that, they simply say 'go pick out another one and bring it up here', then they do an even swap out and you're back out the door. But, those extended warranties are a major league PITA.

Only some items they let you do that.

APparently every item EXCEPT hd dvd players.

-_-V Cuz ive swapped out an IPOD, an IPOD TOUCH, a ZUNE, A WII, A ps3, no problem. one time hd dvd breaks, bam they send it out.. sigh -_-V

LOL See, that's another reason why I won't get into the next gen dvds yet. Well, besides the whole $30 per bleepin dvd nonsense and $300 or more per player. Unless it's $150 or UNDER, I don't buy into 'new tech'.

The cashier would not sell me a Wii without the warranty. He said that it was the manager's decision and that he couldn't do anything about it.

The person before me had no problem buying the warranty with it, but I declined and left.

i went with my friend to TRU this past friday and got a wii. we went there late afternoon. i heard many TRU were carrying wiis on friday.

Picked up a Wii yesterday for a friend at Sam's Club in West Haven, CT. They had about 10 left around 8pm yesterday. Not sure where you're located but check one out in your area if you're a member.
