Where the gold OTT?

Reading a FAQ for MMBN3, it seems to be another one of those games where you need to go to sponsored events to unlock all the shit in the game.

Too bad I don't have a GBA AR.

Now to wander indefinitely to find a chip I need to give to some asshole so I can progress.
Uh, the 4Matic is MB's 4-wheel drive system. Has nothing to do with the shifter.
Eh, I asked the officemate, who drives a benz, what the name of their tiptronic/steptronic shifting system was... he came back with 4matic and I shruged and figured it made sense. (Most automatic transimissions have 4 gears, give or take (1-2-(3)-D-(O))...)

Turns out it's "TouchShift". My bad.
The car isn't the sportiest, despite it's looks.
Any miata would probably dance circles around it on corners, but at least it's RWD.
Fact: RWD sucks ass.
The gf and I have been eating lean pockets like all week and she has started complaining that her boobies got bigger. I believe the lean pockets caused this.
Fact: This is *not* a problem, contrary to what submarinecap'n has brainwashed your gf into thinking. It's a blessing.
Awesome. A Mythbusters episode I haven't seen and I gotta go to school.
DVR that shit, sucka!

This is a pretty funny episode too. The "blooper reel" if you will.
DVR that shit, sucka!
Don't own one. Ofcourse, one of you could always do that for me .

Off to school. BBL.

fuck this.

I have to run into the correct virus, then beat it with a high enough busting level that I get its chip, then hope it's a G type chip.

Pff.

do what now?

In MMBN. To advance I need to give some asshole a specific chip, and the Only way to acquire it is through battle with a specific enemy.

But you only win a chip from an enemy if you defeat them quickly with minimal damage to yourself.

And even if you do that, the chip has different letter codes, and I need, specifically, one coded with "G".

And it's going to take too long and I hate stupid fetch quests like this.

Speaking of DVR's, I now have all my Tivos (+ cable box, where attached) on UPS. No more power flickers causing issues with my recording.

look at what you'll be missing.
Children of Mana is a stupid dungeon crawler. Are there any actual RPG's for the DS?
Final Fantasy 3.

Better off grabbing a PSP for pure RPG's.

FF3 was good.

Do Contact and DQH:RS count? I have both but haven't tried either yet.

PLayed through DQH:RS and no it doesn't count. Not sure what it's considered, but RPG it is not. Contact is a possibility, but I haven't read up on it. And Roufuss... I'm realizing that now, but I don't want to fork over th money for a PSP just cause I'm on a RPG kick ATM. One game later and I might not wanna touch an RPG for another 6 months or so.

Oh yeah, about FF3. Isn't it the same as the FF's that were ported to the PS1 years ago with just an additional dungeon added to the end?

No. That'd be FF4 and FF6, both GBA releases.

FF3 (DS) is the first release of the title stateside... however, while you'll have to levelgrind at spots to get your job classes and finances in order, the dungeons aren't overly long or difficult on the whole.

Hmmm... that I did not know. I just assumed it was a port of something that was already on PS1 (of which I own all). In that case I might have to pick it up sooner rather than later. Thanks for the info. And now I'm outta here. Boss gets to leave early, then so do I.
ebay contacted me about shill bidding. They cancelled my auction with no bids, saying that I shill bidded on it.
That's very odd.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_fantasy_3#Nintendo_DS_version

that should fill you with informational type information. :)

I believe the PS1 got Origins (1,2), Chronicles(4,Chrono Trigger), Anthology(5,6), 7, 8, 9.

If you want RPGs for the DS, you'll probably have to get GBA games.

Speaking of eBay, this one guy hasn't paid yet for the auction he won on Sunday. I'll have to send him an invoice now to get his attention.

I want to pick up a TV recorder.
Can you give me a quick rundown on how they work?

Do they work on just over-the-air broadcasts?
I don't use cable, or satellite.

And I know I'd need an HD DVR to record HD broadcasts, but I can pass on that for now.

Problem is, most of the HD DVR's are coming from the cable company for their cable HD service or from the satellite providers with their HD service. Only non-service specific one is the Tivo Series 3, which is around $400 AR at the moment. The only other way to do HD would be via a MCE PC, through XP MCE 2005 or Vista Home Premium / Ultimate.

The Series 3 Tivo has two tuners, so can do two HD recordings at the same time. About 30-35 hours of HD content, or 300 hours of SD content.

Izuna. Even though it's a dungeon crawler it's pretty good. Much better than Mana.

I have it but haven't got around to playing it yet. Since it's from Kojima I can't imagine it will be bad. I should probably get around to playiing the Boktai games too.
