Shriking only seems to be limited to the OTT and one or two occasional threads in the games forums. Is it just a Shrike policy or a policy that all of the mods are supposed to enforce.
 
Well, back from King of Prussia. It was neat.

Spent $60 and got a SOAD shirt, and Grindhouse wallet and a Pacman belt buckle. The belt, however, is too big (it fit when I bought it a few months ago) so I guess I'll have to put a few more holes in it. Shouldn't be too hard.

I was going to get a NES controller buckle, but the A and B buttons were gaudy shitty rhinestones. I was also going to get the Thundercats logo, but it was yellow/black instead of red/black.

Ate at the Cheesecake Factory. :drool:

It's more than just the OTT and an occasional thread in the game forum. When found, it's taken care of.

Cost about $20-30 net, as I traded in games that cost me about $70-80 and sold my old HDD on here for about $45 in-pocket.

And HDDs aren't that expensive anymore.

They are a hell of a lot better than memory cards, that's for sure.

She's curious to go see one of those 'private' shows that are borderline legal (ok, aren't). I'm a little curious about that, but really don't want to send the cash for it.

We got along with our consoles pretty well without hard drives until xbox1.

Note that I have a HDLoader for my PS2.

This is significantly different from an officially sanctioned Hard Drive on the following grounds:

- It does not allow game patching to be part of the development process
- It does not open the pandora's box of selling DLC
- It doesnt facilitiate (as easily) the higher cost of building hardware around multimedia functions.

Of course a lot of people want those very things, but you already know my position on them.

walking the streets of mexico at night is pretty scary by itself. much more when you're seeing fat women walking towards you trying to grab your jewels to drag you back into their alley cubbyhole for 10-15 bucks worth of fun... hell even the cops are scary there, we got stopped once for jay-walking I guess and two cops jumped out of the bed of a truck and stole our watches, pictures in our wallets, money.. crazy shit. :[ I think after that we just stayed out of mexico and relied on asking older people outside of liquor stores to buy us alcohol. :X

Yes, that's the inherit difference. People want faster, sometimes instant, access to content, an internet connection and a HDD, allow for that.

I've been playing games since my ColecoVision. I welcome the changes.

That's probably why I do welcome all this technology.

My interest in games declined SHARPLY in the midway point of the PS2's lifetime.

There's so many games around me, and only so few I actually pick up and play.
When I was younger, I could grab any game around me and play and be completely enthralled.
It was really sad when I went months without touching a console.
Looking in game mags with absolute indifference.

I done growed up. :cry:
This new generation, with Wii and PS3, has me interested again, I do hope it lasts.
It's not like it used to be, but I find magic here and there.
