Ok,

So todays release day yet noone seems to see this title at all let alone have it on the shelves.

Has anyone found it yet? At $20 its worth it to me for my cube....
 
Gamestop has it listed for december....

Best Buy and Circuit City dont even have it in the system and IGN and Gamespot both list 11/26/04 for the cube release....


The funny thing is EB doesnt even have it for PS2... and its listed as today.
 
It keeps getting bumped back every time it's set to release. It was supposed to be 10-29, then 11-2, then 11-16, now 11-23. It's like Growlanser. Phantom release dates.
 
Yep. Choro Q has the same problem... it's been bumped back 3 times... and now has no set release date at most stores.
 
give them some time...

this is O3 Entertainment's first console release...
not only is i gonna be a rocky start for the small publisher to get it pressed and shipped in time.... but they gotta consider weekly delays in tune with HEAVY shelf competition.

Just give them some time... its worth the wait for Hominid.... in the mean time... why not tell a few friends? seriously... as screwwy as it sounds... small companies/releases like this need your support.

kick up conversations about it when you can... start some buzz... the game is... to (regretably) reference MTV... "buzzworthy"

pimp it to friends... call up retailers asking about it... start generating buzz....
 
I'm really looking forward to this game. It brings back a lot of good memories about my early gaming days. Ahh Nostalgia. Also it looks quite good.

The same thing can be sadi about the release date for Rez, mags are telling us it should have been today but I can't find it anywhere let alone confirm it anywhere or on Sega's website.
 
The PS2 version is in fact shipping today, 11/16/04, so it would be available at Gamestop or EB tomorrow (that is, if they ordered any copies) :D
 
Choro Q, at least, is out. I picked it up this weekend at an independent shop; I haven't seen it in any of the larger chains yet.
 
Alien Hominid just reminds me too much like Katamari Damacy and Under The Skin. It's just hard for me to give a shit about these three games, despite their good reviews.
 
Well it's time for an update of this thread. Between yesterday and today I have seen this game at BB, EB, and Fry's. At EB I saw both the GCN and PS2 versions. At all the stores it was marked as 29.99.

Was Best Buy carrying the GC version or was it PS2 version only?
 
I think this game started as a web based game made in Macromedia Flash and it got popular somehow.

Saw it a preview on tv a while back.

IGN I think mis quoted the price its $29.99..

Its a fresh game everyone needs a fresh game it can be played with up to four players and its damn fun.

I pikced up Eb games only gamecube copy yesterday.
 
Yes it started out as a flash game in 2002, then it grew to astronomical popularity (at least amongst the newgrounds crew), so the people that made it recieved funding to kick start their own company, who's first release is a totally new game based off the flash game. The flash game and the retail copy are similar in name and art stlye only.

So did they "sell out" on their original style and gameplay to get this funding?

I am honestly curious as I didnt play it before I bought it for my cube.
 
Has anybody played both versions of this game? There's a developer interview at IGN that says the only difference between the two is control pad depiction in-game. Anyone notice any slowdown or anything, or any differences at all?
 
Saw it at GameStop yesterday (in Mass) I think for the Cube. I've played the Flash version or whatever it was done in--nice art style.
