bought a few blu rays from the BBV sale. I don't like them at all... anyone had luck getting the original or different cases from blockbuster?

Also listing some websites to order blu ray cases for cheap would be nice....

Looks like 45 cents for a single disc blu-ray case, plus shipping. Used these guys a little while ago to grab an assortment of replacement cases and was really happy with them. (For the record, the single disc green amaray case is Xbox green, if you ever need more of those.)
How is the quality? Is it indistinguishable from an original blu ray case? Are the sizes the same? Does the artwork fit perfectly? How's the center hub which holds the disk, it the disk easy to get out?

I bought 25 for $20 on ebay and they were great quality. I too would be interested to know the quality of the cheapo ones.
Meritline:
If you only need a handful and don't mind paying the same price as Meritline for HALF the cases, then BB has a 5 pack of cases(Rocketfish brand) for $3.
Except Meritline wants $6 for shipping, right?

for those interested in cases. http://www.shop4tech.com (used them for 90% of my replacement dvd cases and blu cases over the years... they use the same blu cases as supermediastore.com for those interested) has a 20% off code today for blu ray cases

https://www.shop4tech.com/item7743.html
normail prices are
10 pack = $7.90
50 pack = $24.50
100 pack = $45.00
500 pack = $195.00

use code MEDIA20 to take 20% off of those prices and free shipping

ALSO

if you're interested in 1/2 width slim blu cases http://www.supermediastore.com has them on sale for $27.99 for a 100 pack with free shipping

Best Buy's Rocketfish ones appear to be 3 for $2.99, not 5. Price maybe went up? Not sure if they're the same price in store, but they appear to be available at most stores, at least in my area.

Thanks for all the links for the various products, guys. I've been needing some replacement cases for a variet of things.

The ones that come from Amazon (and most of these other retailers, I suspect) are a little more square on the corners and a little thicker that a regular case. I didn't care that much, but you can DEFINITELY tell the difference if they're on your shelf. Also, the BR logo is like a rub on, not molded into the case...

I don't know. I usually just ask the stores I'm buying games/movies from if they have the regular cases for them or not.

Chances are I'm not keeping any of the ones I bought from the BBV sale. Once I watch them once(or twice), they're going either on my TL or to the local shop for hopefully $4 each.;)

I too will mention the Rocketfish ones at Best Buy. The blue ones might be in the PS3 section, or at least that's where I've seen the blue ones at one store for some reason. Otherwise check the movies and home theater section, I'd assume. They do sell clear PS3-style ones in the PS3 section as you would expect if you want clear. Not sure if the blue matches the blue on normal cases if you care that much.

Wow, awesome deal, thanks very much for the link. 50 cases for $19 shipped!
How is the one from shop4tech compare to Vive or usplastic one?
same width as the viva elites (slightly squared edges compared to the curved ones of the elites) but are very sturdy have good center hubs and clasp well together. IMO the ONLY thing that some OCD people have against them is having the squared edges .... but I love them. very inexpensive and they take care of your discs well and look professional

usplastics.com. You can mix and match a variety of cases if you want, including 2,3, and 4 disc. Shipping was reasonable also, about $5 for priority

I didn't actually buy any blu-ray cases with my us plastic order, just a mix of different DVD cases to replace various things. I was really happy with those, however- high quality, great hubs, no tell-tale cheap plastic chemical smell. The green cases, at least, are an excact Xbox match (unlike the ones I'd bought on ebay before).

Anyone know where to get a blu-ray case that matches the Criterion blu-ray cases? All clear case and artwork pocket that goes all the way to the top? That would be a find.

Stayed up way too late last night researching this. Wanted good quality single, double and triple disk blu ray cases. After a bunch of info about difference cases sizes, brands and manufacturers, I learned Vortex cases are used by Sony and Disney and Viva Elite is used by pretty much everyone else. All other cases are generic.

Generic does not equal bad, and I was going to look into good quality generic cases, but I was getting tired, and didn't want to research anymore, so I just said fuck -it and ordered a bunch of Vortex cases at US Plastics and a bunch of Viva Elites at Disktopia. The cases were kinda expensive (average about $1 each after shipping), but since these are the cases the studios use, the quality should be good. We'll see.

By the way, most sellers only offer the cases in bulk shipment (25 plus). US Plastics and Disktopia have good reviews and let you place small orders.

Generic Cases / Not the standard cases use by studio

which of these come cheapest after free shipping or not for 100 packs?
which of these come cheapest after free shipping or not for 100 packs?
i Ordered stuff from Super Media Center and they really have a great customer service. The only thing is you need to buy $25 worth of stuff to avail the free shipping meaning you need to order atleast 50pks.

So the Cheapest would be at Disc Makers especially if you want the Premium/Vortex type and then second would be US PLastic. Note that both of this store charges shipping cost but atleast at reasonable rate.

I went ahead and ordered 50 Viva Elite cases from DiscMakers came out to $29.08 with shipping and tax. Comes out to $0.58 per case.

Not bad for OEM cases and I need them for the 45 blu-rays I picked up at BBV.

You can purchases these direct from Criterion now.

Oh hell yes! Thank you. I had an unfortunate accident with one of my cases and it has bothered me for the longest time. Especially since I couldn't find a replacement that the artwork would fit with.

I ordered (300) of the Viva Elites from them today and got notice that they are backordered. So far, they have not given me a date as to when they expect to be able to ship them.

Damn! Just checked my email and I got the backordered email as well. I was originally going to wait until the BBV sale ended to order the cases.

I wonder if they are trying to figure out why the sudden spike in orders for replacement blu-ray cases. :D
anyone selling blu ray cases? I just picked up about 40 titles from the .99 sale
Who had a $.99 sxale on Bluray movies?
Who had a $.99 sxale on Bluray movies?
Selected BBV stores. Unfortunately, the two stores near me didn't have any.

BTW, I bought 100 from discmakers for about $37 shipped. They're the regular "premium" ones and they're good and look nice.

The US Plastics cases are the same ones used on Sony and Disney BRs, with the embossed logo on the top and that extra snap on the side. Personally I hate the extra snap but like these cases b/c they seem thinner. Artwork fits fine on most if not all of the option listed here so far. The center is very easy to get the disc out of.

I ordered some US plastics ones a while ago and like that you can mix and match 1,2,3,4 disc cases, etc. Shipping was like $5 so if you need smaller quantities you might be better off instore.

Just got an email from Shop4Tech this morning, the sale on media cases is back on with 22% off now (10% off instantly, extra 12% off with code 3SAVING, valid through 6/8/11). Ordered 50 of the 12MM blu-ray cases for $18.92 shipped.

Someone said these are the same quality of cases that you get from SuperMediaStore, if so, for the money these are quality cases. I ordered 25 of the double disc blu ray cases from SMS when they were $10.99 a couple weeks ago and I'm really satisfied with them. Will be happy to get rid of these ugly BlockBuster cases on all of my blus...

Anyone know where's the best place to buy clear blu-ray cases to be used for PS3 games? Thanks.
