I would check out local pawn shops if you're talking used. I've seen some relatively cheap in my area. That's about the best idea I have for you.

Pawn shops, swap meets, Craigslist, maybe even some Gamestops would have some old Xboxes (Xbox's? Xboxs? Xbox-i?) laying around.

Flea markets, yard sales, craigslist...all of those will probably get you a deal too; might not be a brand new box, but it'll probably come with some games.

If you happen to be in western NY/upstate, there's a chain of retro game stores called Game Craze, and they have a ton of original xboxes, games, accessories and what not in stock. Hell they carry items for every major system back to the Atari 2600, so that's worth a shot.

I got a rare limited edition Mountain Dew Green Xbox at a local Video Game Store here in my town for $49.99. It works came with a controller S only 5,000 were made apparently

Oh man I remember those Mt Dew xboxes, they gave them away during Thanksgiving back in like 2003 or so. Classic.
