Whhich anime series should i watch next?

The only one I have seen out of that group is Gantz, so I guess that's what I'll vote for, haha. Seriously though I really liked Gantz despite some of its frustrating moments. Also, it looks like you are already answering your own question with your commentary after three of your choices.

Having watched Elfen Lied, and most of Gantz and Hellsing, I voted for Gantz. I really didn't like Elfen Lied that much. The first time I watched it, I got bored a few episodes in. It wasn't until recently that me and my friends just watched it that I actually saw the whole thing. The beginning is pretty actiony and violent (and nude) but all of a sudden it just drops off and becomes more of a drama with the occasional bloody violence. That left Hellsing and Gantz. I like Hellsing a bit more than Gantz but since you noted you wanted to see Gantz now and Hellsing later, I voted that way.

Gantz anime starts out following the manga, then goes completely off it, and isn't that long. So even if you dont like it its over quickly.

Gantz is terribad. The entire second season just shouldn't have existed. It pretty much rapes the series into oblivion.
All of those are pretty terrible, unless you meant Hellsing Ultimate. Make a new list without garbage.
Kirin

I'd say get the Gantz anime out of the way and read the manga. It's not awful and if you watch the anime first you may really enjoy it. And yeah I read your post about the manga. The thing is Gantz is cool and all but gets a lot more interesting after a particular mission (which is the last one that's been animated) or around book 7 or 8 so I'd say you'd be missing quite a lot if you stick with the anime alone.

And I was never quite the manga reader but I've seen images of Gantz here and there and had an itch for more after finishing the anime so I went ahead and read the manga (which is still ongoing) and it's been very entertaining to me. Gantz has transformed me into a reader of manga even if it's just for a couple series' here and there so you never know. So far there's 4 volumes out in the U.S. right now with the 5th scheduled for release by next month I believe.

I sure as hell hope they come out with another Gantz anime once the manga comes to an end (and from the looks of it, it may be ending pretty soon). If you absolutely cannot get into the manga at least wait for that but there's no guarantee it'll happen (but I predict it will given the popularity of the anime). lol shame that Gonzo was involved and it never got to the better stuff, seriously.

Watch Elfen Lied. Hellsing is IMO pretty bad too. Can't comment on Black Cat as I haven't seen it.

Even though Elfen Lied isn't that good, it's at least disturbing enough to garner a reaction
puppy violence

Looks like Elfen Lied is winning, and Hellsing (including all four ova's, which i should have by the end of the week) after tat. If there's any chance of Gantz getting a sequel and finishing the story, i can wait.

Haven't heard anything ad about lack Cat, so that could be third (although i still have to watch Air, Kanon, Samurai 7, and Galaxy Railways toox D).

Oh man, skip everything in this poll and go straight for those other four, especially Samurai 7. The Hellsing OVAs are fine, but the TV series is absolute shit.

Meh, those shows drag out too long for me to watch. If it's like Yu Yu Hakusho, episodes are 80% filler, 20% awesome, and that doesn't work for me =/.

Elfen Lied gets my vote, although if you have the time, the manga explores into greater detail the events that occurred in the anime and introduce characters absent from the show. Think of Elfen Lied anime as the springboard for the manga. Elfen Lied is only 13 episodes, so you haven't much to lose if you find out it isn't your choice.

Wow, votes are 4:1:1:1 in favor of Elfen Lied. Looks like that's what i'll be watching, and wiating on Gantz for awhile. Can't wait!!

Also, people keep telling me to read mangas, but they're like reading a comic: fun in short bursts, but overall, i'd rather watch than read. Just how i am =/
