Which brand/model of USB headset is compatible with Lifeline?

I remember there was some discussion over on GameFAQs when the game first came out, one of the major brand's headset was found to be incompatible with the game. Does anyone know/remember which brand/model I should buy to play Lifeline?
 
i remember when this game had so much hype around it..and it was dubbed as "eh"..ill prolly pick it up and borrow my bros mic for a bit 2 play it :p
 
...it would have been fine as a generic survival horror game, and the Mic aspect would have made it alot better had there not been such a difficult time getting the game to clearly understand you or some of the moment where you might not know what to do because of unclear directions. A lot of times you'll find you self screaming profanities into the mic as much as directions in the heat of battle. :p

Some of the minigames are fun though... assuming you get the hang of speakign clear enough for the game.

Some people had absolutely no problem with the game's voice/speech recognition system while others probably never programmed a PC in their lives to realize that the proper grammar for computer AI speech recognition (verb + noun) differs quite a bit from human speech pattern.
 
The game tutorial gets pretty specific about how to be clearly understood. But sometimes even single words like "bathroom" go completely over her head.

A friend of minesaid she responded better to his GFs voice so he just told her what to say into the mic and beat it easily.

I notice that she repeates almost everything you say to her (that she understands) so if you match the way she says it it's easier understood.
