Which PS3 deal is better?

Amazon
PS3 80gb
4 Bluray movies
$370 (no tax, free shipping)

Walmart
PS3 80gb
$100 Gift Card
$428

i was thinking about is too along with the dell deal which is 339 plus tax... ultimately for the best bang for your buck, amazon im treating myself for my birthday :) soon to be done

I'd say they are about the same, depending on you look at it. It all really boils down to if a) you want Blu-ray movies and b) Amazon is offering Blu-rays you actually want as part of the promotion. If you want four of the movies, you'll save more money going with Amazon.

They both seem good.

for Amazon, you can watch the Blu-ray movies and then trade them in for credit

for Walmart, the deal seems better, you can use the gift card to buy games... actually, I would go with this one.

As long as you want those br's get that. If not get it at walmart. Check the dvd threads and you will find all the good places to get cheap br's at. Be nice if you had that chase sony card right now. Another $150 credit back to the card. Heck I'd apply and get that and wait for the next good ps3 deal. There will be many more I am sure.

I don't want to mess with my credit and bother with another CC. I kind of want some BR's, but I could go without. Are those good prices for BRs?

The value of the movies depends if you can trade them in somewhere or sell them somewhere. Otherwise, they don't have any other value.

The WM gift card is only a bonus if you plan to go back to WM and get it. Plus, you may not be able to get a PS3 at WM if demand is too high.

Amazon might be the easier deal to fall back on if the WM deal falls through.

You really wouldn't be messing with your credit, especially if your credit is already fairly good. You'll have one credit check on your report, and you wouldn't have been turned down. It will have fairly minimal impact, one that will be offset by the fact that you now have more available credit to your name.

The Wal Mart ad has been posted everywhere and there are minimum of 4 per store so expect them to go fast.

I think the best chance of getting the Wal Mart bundle would be to camp. If camping is not optimal, Amazon is your best hassle free option. (Free shipping always helps)

I was wondering in comparison to other stores price for the movies new.
Don't forget you can use Ebay with live.com and get cashback. I got mine for under $300 that way.
Is it difficult to find a reliable seller who isn't selling a used system as new? I'm hesitant about purchasing a console from some ebayer dude.
