okay currently looking to get another ps3 since I sold mine last year. Either going to be buying a 120 gb slim for $230 or less, or should I go for the 80gb model non bc for 150 or so?

With the current firmware, might as well go with the newer hardware with the bigger hard drive, unless you're looking to save $80.
