Which TV do you think is better?

No!

You will need HD Cable Box to get HD Cable and then only certain channels are going to be HD. Not all channels, in fact most channels are still not in HD.

The HD Tuner (ATSC/DTV/HDTV Tuner) that is inside your TV is ONLY for OTA (OFF/OVER-THE-AIR). The "Locals", stuff like ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, CBS, ... To get these, just hook up an antenna from Rat Shack. The farther you are the better the antenna you need. My "Locals" are 50+ miles away, we have an antenna on the roof and they come in crystal clear.

If you want to get HD Cable channels you will need to tell your cable provider you want HD. You will need a special HD box from them.

damn I cant believe I missed this thread , I love talking about HDTV its really fun. someone asked what xbox game looks real good on an HD set try soul calibur 2 it blow me away the first time I saw it .

PS3 will probably be the only system as far as I know that will support HDMI . HDMI is an all digital signal no analog signal for anyone who is curious .Its like DVI except DVI is only video not audio. HDMI is digital audio and Digital video through one cable.

If you have a local cable or satillite provider and are currently or will be using either service a
HD tuner isnt really needed. If im correct after july 5th hit the FCC made it mandatory to equip tvs with it.

hmm anyother questions Iv made it my duty to understand anything and everything pertaining to HDTV.
