Which version of Picross DS should I get?
sweet, $20 for the US version. that's pretty amazing. I'll definitely pick that up despite already owning the Japanese version.

hopefully, all the versions will be compatible will each other.. much like Pokemon.
Was there a U.S. announcement that I missed?

nothing more official than a EB having it in their system.. which really isn't all that official.
Honestly, college was easy in comparison to high school. I typically had 4 hours of homework a night in high school. College, there's a lot more to take up your time, but many times its by choice, not by necessity.

And I studied Japanese on the side while I was in college.
yeah, i suppose. i took on a lot of extra things while in college. I still had far more projects and homework i was responsible for, though.

What was/is your major in college?
It looks like Picross DS has been rated by the ESRB, another sign that it is most likely coming to the U.S.
I just saw that. I'd think an ESRB rating is a pretty firm sign that it will be coming over. Great news.

Was. Computer Science, but I started as Electrical Engineering. I went to a college with a lot of general education requirments, though, so I carried a full load of classes all the time.

And worked two jobs, and did extra-curricular activities. I didn't lack for things to do, certainly, but I had much more flat out work in high school.

I got the game in the mail today!

I have to say, I am completely and utterly addicted to this game :)

To anybody who's on the fence about this game: GET IT NOW, don't wait for the US version.

Erm, why? Reducing sales of the US version makes it less likely that future games would be released in the US, which is very silly.

According to IGN UK, this game will be release here in the US on July 30. I will be buying this together with Brain Age 2, when amazon.com puts them up on their site.

Well, if the US version is indeed only going to be $20, then I will pick it up, so I can hopefully unload the UK version (you guys were right, the case is very bulky and unsightly :whistle2:()

I tried Dling new puzzles but it's not working. I dont know if they have any puzzle packs up yet.
Has anyone else made any puzzles themselves? I made one of alex from river city ransom.
Is there a thread somewhere where we can trade them? I'd love to play other peoples' puzzles.

Are you using the European version or the Japanese version?

I checked the other day for new puzzles to download on my japanese copy, but didn't really find anything conclusive. I came across a few puzzles, but it didn't seem like i was able to download them. I went through all the menus but did not come up with another other than puzzle that looked player created.

I haven't really looked up how you're supposed to download more puzzles, so i was just trying to wing it with my chisai knowledge of the language.

perhaps gamefaqs? ^_^

There are TONS of puzzles available for download on the Japanese version now!

BUT, you can only save a limited amount of them to your game pak, so if you're getting download errors that could be the reason.

I was using the EU version, since its just released maybe they haven't put them up yet.
If they up the storage capacity for puzzles in the u.s. version, I'm defintely dumping the EU and gettting the U.S. one.

Only being able to store 10 puzzles is pretty lame.

It may just be me, but I don't see any reason to replay puzzles after solving them, especially with Free Mode puzzles. So deleting them after you're done seems reasonable enough to me as long as you can download them again later.

I totallty agree with ya. My situation is that I cant hold a solid connection with my wifi at home. I was hoping to drive down to a mickeydees and DL them all at once. I can finish 10 puzzles easily in a day or two since I'm so addicted : (

It's kind of inconvenient to have to drive over there just to get 10 puzzles at a time.
