Which VGA adapter to use?

I'm picking up my first 360 this weekend to play on my Dell monitor and i'm wondering which vga would be best for me to use.

i use for my ps2. Would this work as good as the MS vga adapter?

That should work, I'm wondering how the picture quality is though.

i guess what i am curious about is the picture quality. being my first system, i won't know if i'm getting the best possible picture or not.

damb, that one zewone just posted is pretty damb cheap, i might have to pick that up. One quick question: The whole point of this is so you can play in HD right? and this should work with pretty much any monitor right

Gamestop has the 1st party cable preowned for $9.99, trust me it is worth every penny for 39.99.

Buy the first party one. You want high definition, you want to do it right. Remember, this is an analog video signal not a digital video signal so cables do matter quite a bit.

The used cable from gamestop may not be 1st party, the one I bought used for 9.99 was one of those over-priced psyclone cables.

So how do you tell which VGA cable is which when you buy used?

I got one off eBay, and for all I know, it's the crappiest one in existence. I also saw a used one for $10 at Gamestop, but once again, it's not in a package, so it could be 3rd party.

All I know is they're both grey.

It looks fantastic. I haven't tried the official one so I can't comment on the difference in quality but I'm guessing the people who are using an official one haven't compared it to a third-party one either.
