Who is your favorite video game villian?

hiccupleftovers

CAGiversary!
I would have to say any of the villians from Metal Gear Solid series.
They just seem the most realistic while at the same time being bad ass in a video game/movie way.

i agree with hiccup left overs...mgs bad guys kicked ass!! i loved psycho mantis tho..i had more from other games..but they slipped my mind :(

Murray from Curse of Monkey Island, if you could call him a "villain".

EDIT:
villain: A wicked or evil person; a scoundrel.
That fits Murray.

I don't know if this counts, but Soda Popinski from Punch Out. When he KO'd you his laugh and the look on his face just made you feel like shit. Made it impossible to give up until you kicked his ass.

I'd say Electronic Arts... (sorry... I just had to)

Actually, Ramiez from Skies of Arcadia was a badass.

Psycho Mantis and Revolver Ocelot are two of my favorites from the MGS series. I thought Raven or was it Vulcan Raven was also cool. Liquid Snake was pretty badass when you got up to him.
Wesker from Resident Evil.
that's a great nod, Wesker was a bastard. i was so happy to see his *edited for spoiler* at the end of REmake that i replayed that save a few more times to see his *edited again*.

my nod's for my friend when we used to play CS on LAN, between rounds he'd lean around and taunt my sorry @$$.

Sigma due to tennacity more than pure evil. I guess you can't kill a virus.

Honorable mentions to Guildenstern from Vagrant Story, and Yuber from the Suikoden games.

After playing Metal Gear Solid 3, I am going to say Big Boss. He is definitely the most human and understandable villain I have ever come across. Beyond that, I am partial to Shodan.

And Sephiroth was a light weight.

Dr. Wily. He's just such a crazy bastard. You'd think he'd learn that MegaMan's just going to come busting into his HQ and bitch slap him everytime...

Thank you... I was wondering if someone was gonna mention him. I can really connect to the whole "get a BFG that walks around and owns anything and everything... except Snake".

Agreed!

Ramirez from Skies of Arcadia was pretty cool.
Albedo from Xenosaga
Id from Xenogears
Anubis from ZOE2
and the amazing Azel/Atolm Dragon combo from Panzer Dragoon Saga
Mother Brain
suprised no one aside from you mentioned mother brain. The ending of Super Metroid was amazing.

also have to give the nod to Mike Tyson, Lan Di, and Geese Howard

Elexis Sinclair...from SiN.

JUST when you thought you were gonna face her, she got away. Then, at the end of the game, she did it to ya again...now that's how a real villian does it...hehe. :}

Honorable Mention goes to her Daddy, whom you face at the end of the game.
