Who plays Kratos in the God of War movie?

Let's put aside the Brett Ratner discussion for now. Who's your best (or worst) pick for Kratos in the 'greenlit' God of War movie? I think Clive Owen could do it.

Although, Stallone would be hilarious. "Ay, yo Athena! It's me, Kratos!"

They will probably screw it up and just shave the head of some muscle bound oaf like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

I kind of agree with David Jaffe, the dude from Blood Diamond and The Island.

I think he fits the bill perfectly.

Or some unknown actor that we haven't heard of. :)
 
How can they cast a black dude to be Kratos?

Anywho, if they did like siderealshift said Kevin Garnett would have to be the obvious choice.

As for white guys. Gerard Bulter would have to be the pick. No one else would play the part good.
 
I think if GoW: The Movie of the Game ends up being a 300-esque gorefest, Vin Diesel could slot in pretty well a'la Riddick. I do worry a little about his acting chops, but somehow I doubt GoW:TMotG is going to be a tour de force of drama and emotion.
 
Honestly I don't really feel the need for a GoW movie, but if it's good...it's good.

As for who Kratos is played by....hmm...hopefully a good actor. Will Smith?

in the end what this of war movie need is a good writer and a unknown face.regardless of who is playing kratos if the script suck so shall the movie. asked for the unknown actor i am so tried of seeing the same actors in movies.

but if i had to choose any one from this list of actors (Will Smith,Ving Rhames Deebo, Djimon Hounsou,Kevin Garnett,Gerard Butler,Idris Elba,and Vin Diesel)
i would go with either Djimon Hounsou, or Kevin Garnett, . Djimon because he looks the role, can act and has jaffe blessing. kevin garnett because he looks the most like kratos. anything they are missing can be "fixed" with rhinoplasty or cgi.

I loved Kevin Garnett in "2008 NBA Champs: Bringin' It Home To Beantown". He was so believable as a power forward. I could tell that he really prepared for that role -- no other actor could have stepped in and made that twenty-footer as consistently as he.

..."Kazaam", anyone?

Honestly, though, I don't know why they want to ruin a flawless franchise like this. Shame on... everyone involved.
 
notice how nowhere in my post i said that Kevin Garnett was an actor .I just said he looks the most like kratos. and about Kazaam it wasn't all shaq's fault .pick any actor Robert DeNiro, Johnny Depp ,marlon brando ,leandro dicaprio or ,none of these actor could save us from the shitfest that was kazaam.
 
They should keep Terrence Carson as the voice actor. Then they could do a blend like Darth Vader with two actors playing the role.

Well they did get Sam Jackson to play Nick Fury, I guess it could go the other way round.
