All you guys have to do is sign up to Krakrabbit.com, leave at least five (5) user reviews on any of the games or accessories on the site, and post here that you left the user reviews and what your user name on the Krakrabbit.com site is.

On November 1st, I will choose a winner that will get to choose a movie from a bunch of (DVD) movies that we have available.

Quality of review is the main criteria here, the better the reviews the more likely you will be chosen as the winner!

The movie will be shipped free to you (US only) via USPS media mail. Depending on your location it could take a little bit to reach you.

Here are the movies you can choose from. All are sealed up and fresh!

If we're reviewing games (or accessories), why do we get movies? Shouldn't we have a chance to win a game... Or accessory?

How about you review games/accessories for nothing at all, just pride because that's all people do on other sites. Go to a big gaming site and when you post user reviews, you get nothing at all. No prize, no chance to win a prize, just the satisfaction of helping a big, bias gaming site grow for no reward. If you're into that, then I guess you can just leave this thread alone...

No need for your sarcasm, all I'm saying is that you sure are being picky considering that 90% of gamers have posted countless user reviews on other sites for no rewards of any kind. Have you ever posted a user review or opinion about any game ever? If you have, then you should be glad you could be winning anything at all for doing the same on my site.
 
i can't understand why people aren't jumping all over this, and put in their time and effort. When you seem to be such a nice person, with all the great comments you make about everyone here.

Hey, I started a thread and they came into my thread to attack it. Its not like I went out and started this up with them, they felt the need to attack my giveaway offer. Why I get bashed, but nobody else in this section does I have no idea.

People have a reason to be picky really because it's not FREE. They have to do some reviews and what not, so it's called work and it's not free. FREE is when all you do is sign up using your email/home address, phone number, name, state, city, zip code and such and nothing else just basic information. Having people do reviews to get something 'free' is more like paying them off, bribery or however you wanna call it. Not taking sides, but at least the option is there and sure the selection might not be for everyone but i'm sure there are a few people who will jump on the offer. *by the way, the movie selection is not bad and it's not the latest movie on blu ray but hey it's better than some old black & white dvd*

Bribery? Really? :lol: Its a contest, and to win a contest generally you need to do something in some shape or form. I suppose people are spoiled here and expect me to give things away for no effort at all, since apparently writing reviews for games you've played is such hard and backbreaking "work".

Here is the issue, you are expecting good quality reviews - "Quality of review is the main criteria here, the better the reviews the more likely you will be chosen as the winner!"

This makes it less of a CONTEST than a TOURNAMENT where the person with the best review is declared the winner and gets a cheap DVD. That means no matter how one person may tries, its possible for someone else to surpass the one person by reading other reviews and adding more to beat them.

A CONTEST would be random and anyone who completes your mission of making 5 reviews regardless of the quality should be eligible to win. Or what about the option to mail in a postcard and enter without a purchase (i.e. writing a review)? You need to understand you are confusing the two.

whoa, slow down because you are now contradicting yourself. the thread title states "who wants a free movie!" but then people have to do reviews, hurdles and other steps in order to get the movie so essentially, it's free in a sense but with a catch to it. next time, just rephrase your thread titles and have more clarification with details in such. something FREE is FREE period with basic information and very little work. to ask someone to do a certain amount of reviews to get something 'free' isn't really free I say. But to each their own..

Agreed. Not trying to bash rabbit, put him down or anything. Just saying, rephrase things and change the thread title because it is misleading in a sense and there will be conflict. From what you and I stated, if someone doesn't see things clearly then may god help you and have mercy on your soul. :cool:
 
Anyone who does complete the "mission" is eligible, and who knows even if they have suck reviews they could still win based off number of competitors. I don't need big, detailed reviews like I would do for the Editor reviews, just a sum-up of the game is good enough.

I don't mean you need writing skills like a paid writer, just something better then 25 reviews with 1 line of text just to be entered into the contest. If I did it randomly, people wouldn't try to make the reviews any good and they would just spam 1-line reviews just to be entered.

I think people are reading into it a bit too deeply. A simple sum-up of the game is fine, you act like I have all these massive expections. I'm not asking people to do anything other then what most gamers do, which is post opinions and thoughts about games they've played.

But ITS NOT WORK! That's the thing here, if you think writing a few sentences about games you've played (something I'm sure you've done at some point in your lifetime) is work, then how lazy you must be! :shock: Its free, because you don't have to pay for it and I do not think of typing a bit about games as "work" like it seems you guys do.

Its not backbreaking work, you guys must just be lazy. For all the time you guys take to bash my thread, you could have written 3 books worth of reviews and won all the contests.

You're ignorant and no point in this back and forth discussion, because you fail to realize what everyone else is trying to point out to you and it is the obvious. lazy? not really, just not worth the hassle for something that isn't free. afterall, free really requires little to no work and you are asking people to write reviews is like saying...if you wash my car, i'll buy you lunch. so call it a fair exchange, bribery or whatever you'd like but it's not FREE and that's the bottom line. you expect your website to get traffic and all, but the impression you are leaving on others is not sitting well. You should just have said hey, if you all can help me out i'd appreciate it and by the way, I am having a contest/raffle where you can win some prizes (dvd movies) for participating and doing a couple of reviews..it'll only take a few minutes of your time and i'd appreciate it especially to help a fellow cag out. But oh well.....

I review games and accessories here because Cheapy finds some awesome deals and hooks us all up.

If you're trying to advertise your site, you may want to bump it up to BluRay, at least, rather than a list of old DVDs you could pick up for $5 at a sketchy gas station.

EDIT - Also, the poll on the website makes me want to punch the elderly.

There has been no such announcement so really you're just blowing smoke. That's like saying "Xbox 1440 is coming! (In 25 years) Thoughts?"
 
I got to say, I really enjoy reading these threads... now I dont want to say anyone is right or wrong... but you would think after 3? I think its been 3 now, they would change the first post. If anything im more so wondering why their always the same movies, no matter how much/little work it is, over 3 threads 1 person is bound to have tried lol... I would like to say that this is the right forum if people like it or not so its not like its that wrong... but come on you get 3 topics of this, and you make no effort to change? seriously... I would assume lowering it to 1 review, you would get 5x more people trying which offsets the problem lol
 
Here is what you all fail to realize. #-oThe people that don't like what I am offering were never my intended target in the first place. What cracks me up is the fact that you guys take the time to come in here and write post after post about hating on the contest. If you don’t like it why are you in here? If the movies suck why post in the thread? If it is too much work for you to do why come in here and tell me about it?

You folks are not the type of people I would want writing reviews on the site in the first place. You guys act like it is going to kill you to write a few reviews (5) then I can only imagine how great those reviews would turn out to be. :drool:

My lord you guys must have some cushy lifestyles. I mean, look at the post counts for most of you on this one forum alone and you have the nerve to cry about the back breaking labor involved in writing reviews. With the way you guys react to being asked to write some reviews for a chance to win something, one would think I was instead asking you to dig a ditch in the 100 degree heat or something. :roll:

So, let me make this perfectly clear since some of you just cannot get it through your head, if you don’t like what I am offering I DON’T WANT YOUR STINKY REVIEWS! :wave:

1 word sums this thread=BLAH. you're still typing nonsense and maybe you should do what other sites have done in the past, make multiple accounts yourself and just give random reviews and save yourself all this time, trouble, $ on dvd's and such. There, problem solved.

Thread failed and with the attitude you've got and the way you have come across to people in this thread alone will justify the actions for there not being any people reviewing and entering your contests. Yes, even is there is a "free" movie involved somewhere in there. You lost..

I doubt you are being serious, but I will take the time to answer you anyway. You can write any amount of positive or negative reviews you wish on the site. It is a user review, if you liked the game write a great review for it, if you did not like the game that is fine too and you are more than welcome to state the reasons you did not like it.

Finished them up pretty quickly. Basically just did mini-reviews for all of them, and it didn't take that long. I think I sat here for about 20-25 minutes writing them while listening to some music and thinking about other things, haha. =)

I agree. Krakrabbit comes off as a jerk and is a horrible person to represent the site. Insulting and calling people lazy because they don't like a promotion clearly isn't helping. I bet there would be a lot more positive reaction to this promotion if krakrabbit didn't have so much negative attitude. Although, I will admit that I like reading his comments, so he should keep it up.
