You've got FOUR posts outside of the ones in this thread, and three of those have been in the Contests & Free Stuff forum. Try to contribute something to the community before you start worrying about your rank.

Yeah, what he said.

Rank doesn't mean jack if you don't bring anything to the table. How's that for a helpful response?

Thats not the point, Ive been a member of this site for over one month and have used it to find out some great deals that are floating around. So what if I dont waste my life away posting 10000+ times on a forum that has no financial benefit to me. The rules of the forum clearly lay out the guielines to rank up. Nowhere does it say you need to post X amount of times to reach CAG in Training(which would allow me to use a sig and post up new topics in certain sections).

You don't get your stipend check? ;)

WOW, I didnt realize this was a forum full of douches. I ask for a simple answer to one legitamite issue I have on this site and I get flamed by a bunch of no life forum dwellers.

And the reason I want to be CAG in Training is to be able to post threads in the trading/referral central forum and to be able to use a sig when posting.

So can anyone on these forums fight the urge to flame this topic and answer my original question? Why am I still CAG Newbie if I have been a member of this website for 40+ days?

Dunno. PM a mod and ask. It looks like shosh joined around the same time as you and he's been "upgraded." Maybe it's a glitch. Perhaps you don't have enough posts. It's been far too long since I first joined to remember what the exact requirements are.

no...life...forum...dweller...must...resist...urge...to...flame...

So just because someone doesn't give you a clearcut answer and decides to have a little harmless fun at your expense that makes them a "no life forum dweller"? You haven't been here long enough to know who the forum dwellers are, son. Go take a lap.

BTW, pitfallharry already answered your question, he just didn't spell it out. Maybe he should have used crayons to explain it. Oops, I just flamed you. My bad.

Thank you lonepig. I appreciate the helpful and informative responce.

neocisco, Get some fresh air once in a while. Trust me, posting 12000+ times on an internet forum will not get you any kudos in the real world.

I really find it funny how some people think they are superior to others because of the amount of time they spend on a one website. Go participate in a real activity such as sports or maybe a sales job and then compare yourself to those around you. Forums are meant to be used as a form of communication and discussion. The only people who truly matter here/who have power are the mods. Everyone else is just a member with no power or influence over anyone else. I see alot of people fail to realize this here.

Anyway, Im off to bed becuase I have work in the morning. Hopefully a mod will see this thread by tomorrow and fix my rank issue.

Peace

Awww, you looked at my profile page. That's so sweet. Those 12K+ posts are over 6 years, just to take the air out of your assumption.

I run 10 miles a week, does that count as getting fresh air? BTW, I won't be able to post Tuesday evening since I'll be playing midfielder at my soccer game. My softball games tend to interfere with my posting time as well so I'm not sure when we can work this out.

Nitey-night.

... Jesus...

Anyways, you need to hit 50 posts (give or take 1000+) in order to upgrade from newbie to whatever the next level is.

It's listed out on the FAQs. I'm just too lazy to copy and paste the answers.
Why are you so worried about a sig. when you don't post anything anyway?
HAHA I was just about to post that quesiton ,.......................OP is a loser.....;)

What would give him that idea?

I think the 50 post thing is needed to get to the CAGiversary rank, along with 365 days, and 30 days is the only requirement to go from CAG Newbie to Cag in Training. I think. I'm too lazy to look it up to be sure.
You wouldn't believe how many people assume I have a Farley bodytype just because I use him as an avatar.
This makes me feel like I should point out that I am not 130 years old. :)

So posting around 5 times a day (or 35 times in a week) makes you a no life forum dweller? What does that say about the Mods and people like JP who maintain the big deal post?

OP, you catch more fly with honey than with something something sour grapes......

Uh, you might want to recheck what it says in the FAQ:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/faq.php?faq=cag_faq_item#faq_cag_ranks

It says the following:
CAG Newbie: 0-29 days (cannot use signature or create threads in Trading Forum)
CAG in Training: 30-269 days
CAG Veteran: 270-364 days and/or 250+ posts
CAGiversary!: 365 days and beyond and 50+ posts (can create custom titles)
Join date says 06/21/10, and when I look at this thread today, it shows you as "CAG In Training", as it should.

So, is there an issue here, because I don't see one? Next rank would be after 270 days and/or 250+ posts, which would be CAG Veteran.

OP, if there's an issue, I'm not seeing it here, save some of the flaming you've been taking on with some of your responses. The other posters in here aren't helping matters either, of course.
