Why did I make this OTT that bugs you?
The Xbox didn't have a lot of great exclusives but as a whole it has a great library IMO. Now if you already owned a PS2 and had played most of the worthwhile multiplatform releases then yeah there's not a ton there.
The thing about the XBox that did it for me was the 4 player MP. That was what got me to buy it over the PS2.
The Xbox totally wiped the floor as far as last gen was concerned. The only reason you might want to own a PS2 is if you are a JRPG fan and that is it.
LOL
Psychonauts is 9.40 + tax right now at GS/EB.
if you can find it.

ninja gaiden black is still 16.24, so you'd be saving cash on that one.
The Xbox totally wiped the floor as far as last gen was concerned. The only reason you might want to own a PS2 is if you are a JRPG fan and that is it.
You're nuts. There must be 3 worthwhile PS2 exclusives for every 1 Xbox.
I need to get another bank account.

How does one research the best bank to go with?
Ask people who live in your area which banks they go with and why.

When does Metal Gear Solid 4 come out? I can't take knowing I have a That Triple rotting away in my bedroom closet.

Q2 2008 doesn't cut it.

Just get the 360 version. It's going to have 200 achievement points and integrate with the CoD4 servers for online deathmatch.

But even if you have to pay $20 for a physical copy of Psychonauts you can play it and then sell it back on eBay and should be able to net $15+ pretty easily. That's $5 out of pocket.

The things that differentiate them are their fees pretty much right? I'd just go with whatever one has a convienently located branch and offers free no-minimum checking.

Anyone ever seen this kick ass version of Tool's The Pot video?

Seen it awhile ago but just stumbled back onto it.

That is what I figured.

I mean...all banks are the same right? Just how much they gouge out of you when you screw up.

I think I will go with Chase because its down the street.

It's Q2 right now, though Kojima Pro's supposed to be announcing a date soon when they come out of their bunker.
So, I know I'm a little late to the party, but what the hell do the numbers beside your XBL gamertag mean?
Uh. What do you think they mean?

Well and I guess the number and convienence of ATM machines as well.

And mine offers free online bill payment (I bet most do at this point) which is very nice.

I got the chips you sent me TFN.

That's why you're 12 years old.

Besides the obvious, it had the two greatest games ever made.

ICO and SotC.
Uh. What do you think they mean?
Wow, ok. Totally asked the wrong question. Okay, mine says 420th.. Wubb's says 203rd and yours says 434th... What do they mean?
Why keep the demos though? Just play 'em and delete 'em.
I do play them and dump them when I'm done with them, though until then, they sit around and collect dust.
In limited situations, keeping the demo is fine, because you can play it until you get ahold of the game...

fuck... another day goes by and my MCRs are still unresolved and my GH3 is still somewhere in limbo. :\
Exactly. Which is why I go and keep them, not worrying about it.
You're nuts. There must be 3 worthwhile PS2 exclusives for every 1 Xbox.
I have to agree with this. For multiplat games, I went with the OG Xbox, though there's plenty of games out there worth getting that weren't on the OG Xbox. Same with the 'Cube.
Uh. What do you think they mean?
She asked a legit question, no need to be a dick about it.

SotC fucking sucked.

That was a really crappy game. It was alright for the first 3 or 4 boss battle but after that it was Charles Barkley Tuuuurible.

I am going to have to bitch out someone at EA. My replacement RB guitar has been sitting in "Billing Information Received" for 10 days now. 2 day shipping my ass.

If a bank has a certain fee or two you don't like just play hardball.

"I'm prepared to deposit $125.32 into your bank TODAY if you'll waive this fee for my account." It'll get a reaction. Trust me.

Do you notice how no one ever agrees with you and you're always arguing with people?

There might be something to that.

Actually I prepared to deposit well over 3 thousand.

Unless you are joking I didnt know you could actually hardball with a bank.

(A) assuming that you're going to play it immediately, then yes, you might be able to get away with it. otherwise, if it's going to be in your backlog for a bit, the market might drop out on it. :)

(B) when shopping for a bank, several things matter. interest rates. perks. branch locations as is convenient to you. when I was in college, HSBC was fine because they had a branch in my hometown, in my college town, and in the place i worked during the summer. now that i'm more permanent, i've changed to a credit union customer.

For my sociology class, my professor used to do an extra credit assignment where you would go to a store and try to negotiate a price with a teller (like a grocery store). It's a pretty interesting scenario, especially in places where people can't bargain to see their reaction, and understand how our culture is one of the few that doesn't allow bargaining for all sales.

Unfortunately, one student took it too far, and refused to leave the store until they were given the groceries for 1/10th the price, was arrested, continued to act the same with the police, and was tossed into a mental hospital. The sociology professor was told if he asked students to do that experiment again, he'd be fired.

I was joking about the dollar amount. I wouldn't talk about how much you will be depositing but I think it's fine to ask if they can waive certain fees. I'm not sure how often they do that but hell you could ask. One thing on that though is if it's some fee they have on every checking account but you got them to waive it special for yours I'd always be worried it would get mixed up. Ideally just go with a bank that has a standard account offering you like.

I don't think a bank is really going to care about the dollar amount unless you're talking hundreds of thousands. And then you shouldn't put more than $100K in any one bank due to FDIC insurance rules.
Do you notice how no one ever agrees with you and you're always arguing with people?

Buargh?

No. But I do notice that everyone states random opinions about things but when I state one people go all ape shit becoming insanely defensive at anything I say.

Dont really care if no one agrees with me.......I also dont every try to argue to anyone. Most of the time it goes something like this. State opposing opinion. Have the same 4 people go ape shit for my opinion. I back up my statements with why I think said opinion. I get called and idiot...(insert random cool runnings joke) debate some more...than wind up getting banned while the person I was arguing with gets off for good behavior.

Sounds like the student should've been in a mental hospital in the first place.

OMG. You're out of the top 200. You need to get back to working on your gamerscore.

I bet most of them are spoofers. I think I'll ban 70 or 80 of the people above me.

I asked Cheapy to put in a 'Ban all users ranked above me' button for mods. Hopefully he'll get that in within a few days.

I think I'll make the ban message 'Go play COD4 loser!' YES!!!

Do it.

Can more than one person specify a gamertag?

Yes. Yes you can.

Dude seriously?

This is one crazy ass fan made video of tool's jambi. Pretty damn good. That is all with my youtube links for today.

Bought these speakers for my main L + R this weekend. (not these exactly, but they look like this)

mg2.6.jpg

A pair of vintage Magnepan SMGa.
A very unique speaker, these are prized in the planar speaker community.

They sound great!
Sound comes out of both the front of the whole panel, as well as the back. Very lifelike.

I think I'm gonna keep these in a 2.1 setup for my bedroom and buy bigger newers ones for the TV surround.

You should ban everyone above you. Then you'd be #1.

and I'd be #10...
