Why did you join CAG, or how did you find it?

i was looking up podcasts on itunes and ran into it. gave it a listen and it really grew on me so i came here. ive been on for a while, but kept taking long breaks and forgetting my account info, so now i have this newer one. thankfully i havent forgotten this one =P

Kinda fuzzy, but I think I was looking for gun parts or ammo and wound up here. Ended up spending the money on games.
Joined sometime later.

I honestly don't remember. I mostly just lurked for years, and eventually one day joined. (Probably because I cut away from the amount I was willing to spend on entertainment stuffs, lol.)

cool thread idea... For me I bought my first DVD player and decided to try to find movies I wanted but they where all so expensive. Googled around and ran into CAG and never left the dvd section for a year or so. My collection is now in the hundreds.

Now I barely go into the DVD section, streaming fo' life.

Thanks for the site Cheapy.

I friend on another forum kept mentioning it. So instead of checking out his post, I found the source.

fuck, I've been here almost as long as High School and College combined.
I saw it on someone's sig in GameFAQs, I don't think it was from Cheapy's sig though.
wait...does CAG offer the option to make a CAG sig to use on other forums? if that is an option i never noticed it =P

I found CAG looking for info on the tropicana promotion with the ms points, game packs and sumo wrestler faceplates. Glad I did, because back then I had a white 360 launch unit, but now the faceplate looks delightfully tacky on my elite that had a broken usb door on the original faceplate from leaving chargers in all the time.

I found it on Yahoo. There was an option to have a 'Video game deals' tab on the My Yahoo page and so I had it there for about 4 months before I decided to actually visit the site. Lo and behold, it's CAG. I lurked for a while but when they closed the Video game deals tab to non-members, I signed up, and I've been here ever since, although admittedly, I don't have time to play games anymore with my job. I end up just coming home to play Left 4 Dead 2 so I can relieve some stress. It makes me sad that I've missed some great games in the past 6-9 months because I've been too busy to sit down and enjoy them.
SL4IN and his co-worker (at the time) introduced me.
That's interesting to hear. SL4IN has been one of my friends for a long time on CAG (we got to know each other making a trade back in 2007) and we still talk occasionally.

Anyway, I joined CAG in July 2004 because I heard about the Circuit City $5 game sale came from CAG, from people around the internet and people I saw at Circuit City (back when I lived in Fort Wayne, IN). I decided to register on the forums and stuck around since. I didn't start becoming active around CAG until 2006/2007.
