Not buying. What i mean by this is i can walk into the store with say Star wars battlefront and get 35 bucks even if it dont have the case or book... Yet some of the games if they dont have box or book they sell dirt cheap. What i mean by this today they had

Nascar 2005 ps2 (with box and book) 32.99
BUT
Cd alone 9.99

Same with Sonic heroes and SRS racing

Cause of just cd alone i was able to get

SOnic heroes ps2
Nacar 2005 ps2
SRS racing PS2 Buy 2 get 1 free
Total was 20 before tax and the total would been well over 60 if i got them complete that is 40 + bucks

Also was able to get
2xMario cart Gamecube
Pokemon stadium
for 30 bucks (14.99 each buy 2 get 1 free)
These would ran me close to 90 bucks to get complete (they sell them around 45 each)

So if they dont care if you give them boxes and book when you trade games in why do they sell them so cheap..
This must be YMMV. At my GR, they charge the same whether a game is complete or not.
Same with me.

I think the higher price tags the OP saw were just old ones that haven't been updated. I, too, have always seen prices to be the same for all copies.

I'm with the OP, as none of the Blockbusters in my area have GRs. They do charge much less for disc-only games. I picked up Metal Slug 3 for $12.99 disc-only.

Also, I traded in some GBA games complete and when I saw them out on the shelves for sale, they were cart only. If I'd known they throw out the packaging, I would have saved it for myself.

its not the prices havent been update cause i though that took. I took a complete copy of Nascar 2005 up and they said 32.99 so i went back and grabbed the disc only for 9.99

Most the time this is true for mines also

My GR also charges the same w/wo books and cases. I agree with Stargun, I think they just have some out of date prices on the shelves. That is the only time I have ever found 2 copies of the same game with 2 different prices. If I remember correctly, the labels they put on the games have the price printed on them. So it is possible that 2 of the same game would ring up at different prices.

As the OP never mentioned GR (only BB) and as Radjago mentioned, this seems to be a Blockbuster-only phenomenon.

I know that when I hit a Gamerush store in Cleveland, all the games are the same price regardless of condition, but the Blockbuster stores in NY will have two-tier pricing

a. Game complete with cover (they don't seem to care too much about the manual)

b. Game disc only, priced significantly lower than a.

i had my cursor on the left side of the 'o' in heroes and thought it said sonic herpes for a second... just thought i'd share that with everyone...

I did get Mario cart DD for $10 yesterday along with other two great games :D at Gamerush. It's not "Blockbuster-only phenomenon".

Click.

just picked up The Final fantasy game for the gamecube Case no book for 9.99 today at our BB... Seems they put the good games out weds and they are all gone by today. Im going to hit all 3 of them again probally Tuesday and Thursday of this next week to see if they get anything restocked...

I was shocked that they had Nascar 2005 for 9.99 and you couldnt pass up Sonic heroes and SRS racing for 5 bucks each (B2G1 FREE)

this is not all on games though they are still selling Star wars battlefront for ps2 for 44.99 game only

Also you can get FF 7 , 8 and 9 for 19.99 at one of the local BB (all used)
