Why is this news?

Now I'm all for bringing to light discrimination against minorities and women. But this (IMO) is just ridiculous. I dont understand how someone can make uch a ludicrous claim just because they were ignored for 30 minutes at a restaurant. Is there anyone of us who hasnt been ignored for 30 minutes or more at a restaurant? My other question/complaint is ... why in God's name is this news?!

That happens to me all the time.

And I'm white.

I'm a patient guy (when I'm awake for more than twenty hours), and there has been times where a friend and I, or whatever, have waited 30+ minutes to be seated, at restaurants like Denny's or Steak 'n' Shake.

When you were younger, did you ever see a company logo and kind of filled in the blanks / connected the dots, in your imagination, as to what exactly the logo, itself, was... as you weren't so sure what the it's supposed to be, in the first place?

Cracker Barrel was one of these, for me. I never saw the logo up close, and I'd often see it from highway billboards.

For years, I thought it was a mummy leaning on a miniature sarcophagus.

It's news for the same reason cable news channels show John Mark Karr (sp?) and guys getting stung by stingrays that jump into their boats instead of Condoleezza Rice's press conference in South Korea talking to them about North Korea.
