Why isn't there an eBay Stupidity Thread?
Yeh collector's can fuck off. I've sold some TG-16 and Sega master stuff which was in great shape. I have collector's messaging me for specs. Which I just reply "They are in very good shape" . I sold both to non collector's and they left me positive feedback because how great the condition was which was noted in the feedback message. I checked their feedback history and they both hardly ever left feedback, so they really liked the condition. The collector's missed out with their perfection seeking bullshit. I'm pretty sure one of the messages was from someone here. So yeh collector's are douchebags.
So are you. I'm tired of the BS that eBay sellers like to pull. I like my games in perfect condition and if I can't get it from some guy that treats his stuff like shit, then I will get it from some other person who does keep it perfect, like I do. You say you sold your stuff to non-collectors. Well, I'm willing to bet that the collectors also got the games they wanted from someone on eBay that has it in pristine condition.
What I hate more than lowballers are the kind that charge overinflated prices. I am a lowballer, I pay much less than I have to. I was once able to get Disgaea DS, Call of Duty WoW, and Advance Wars Days of Ruin, all brand new for $15 altogether, including shipping. Those games were easily worth $80+ altogether. I buy far more than I sell, and I don't even sell anymore thanks to eBay's new stupidass requirements for selling items.
If people are willing to pay the 'overinflated' prices, then more power to them I say. It's like the folks buying the PSP Go's for 3/4's of MSRP, even though the system is discontinued now. But that's likely because of what people are able to do with them to make them more useful.
Take a look at this moron.

Umm he isn't that far off on his prices. He is selling complete copies of the game with two of them being new/sealed. I went over to amazon and using the prices there for complete copies of the five games and the cheapest new item for the other two you get close to $225. The only variable is the condition of the two game boxes that he says are worn. The bin even include a Ds lite (which I assume works since he says it is Like new)

Exactly. I noticed that he said he'd include a DS Lite with the BIN, which is still at least a $60 value right there going by Gamestops price for it.

That's why I don't buy from Amazon. Think you'll get Disgaea DS brand new for $5 or ToTA PS2 brand new for $20? I didn't, until I got them on eBay.

^Please tell me your ID so I can block your dumbass.
I've decided not to sell anything else valuable on Ebay anymore cause of problems with morons like you.
I'll just ebay my useless shit.

:applause:I've blocked more a few people on here who were like him too. I had one toolbag in particular offer me $15 SHIPPED for 3 PS3 games that were getting $15 each everywhere else about a year or so ago. People also fail to factor in sales tax and if you offer to pick up something for someone on here they are unwilling to even give ya $1-2 extra for gas/time. It's not like you're asking for the moon, the sun and all the stars in the heavens, just for a REASONABLE price.

Although on some stuff like guides that have real value and the PSP Go's I picked up a while ago I expect to get market value or else I won't sell.:booty:
You know what would be smart? Putting that "don't try that shit with me" in... I dunno, trading posts? And not every single time you talk about trading in any thread?

Also, I don't really care what Gamestop does as I don't shop there anymore.
Neither does he since he is like banned from even setting foot into any Gamestop....

Im sure youve seen him post about that a few times right?

:rofl:I don't use smilies, but I just couldn't help myself. This kind of thing comes with the territory of eBay. The sellers set thr price, not the buyers. A great deal like that is a victory for the buyer. Understand that it is an auction, not a "my item sells for the price I say." If you're mad that I got such a great deal, then i just don't know what to say to you. Oh, but I can tell you this. Sell on Amazon, since that's where all the overinflated prices will make their money. Not eBay.

What's the problem exactly? Sellers can set a starting price, a reserve, or just skip the auction part and set a BIN to ensure they get the price they want if it's that important to them. If they don't then it should be safe to assume they'll be satisfied with whatever the item ends up selling for.

Based on your comments in this thread it sounds like you don't like describing your items accurately, don't like having to answer questions about your items, and you have a problem with the idea that your auctions might end at less that your ideal price point. I wonder why eBay's seller policies are so lame...

No never. Never heard him talk about hdmi cables 6000 times either.

I like the people who email me after an auction is over, telling me that they forgot or missed bidding on it and would I re-list it again. Well, that's time/cost/expense to me, and so I tell them to make an offer and I might just post it with a BIN (or secretly hope that we can deal directly). And then their BIN offer is significantly *below* the original auction starting price. Hey, Idiot... if you "forgot" to bid then doesn't that imply that you would have paid the original starting auction price? Why would you offer me significantly less? (And not just minus fees, either.)

Yeh some of the collector's are pathetic.
Also fees are a bitch.
When auctions go unsold people tend to lower the price. I do it sometimes.
If there are alot of people watching my auctions but no bidders, sometimes I slowly start RAISING the price... You'd be surprised how many I sold for more that way, and sometimes even draw a few into a bidding war. :)

I had something happen to me a couple of weeks ago.

Was selling a DVD collection, and had quite a few people watching the listing, then this girl buys it and I'm waiting for payment but nothing. Then she contacts me a week later saying that she can't pay for it, etc...

I did agree to cancel, but was thinking, 'why tf did you buy it then?'. Seriously, people shouldn't "buy" stuff if they don't have the money for it.
