prior to updating windows xp after a fresh installation, my pentium dual core throttled down to around 700mhz when idle. After installing all updates, it idles at full speed (1.73ghz). Both of these occur when plugged in to ac power.
funny thing is when running on battery, it runs on 700mhz.
How can i fix this? thanks!
