A damn fine rifle, but also pretty damn expensive. Harder to arm a popluation with those than FALs or AKs, I think.

Norinco makes a knockoff with somewhat mixed reviews. I think it is usually called the M14s

Bleh, Norinco.. they need to stick to AKs and leave everything else alone. Their M16 clones apparently spontaneously asplode after a mag or two. However their AKs kick ass, I've got an NHM-91 myself, which has a thicker reciever, heavier/longer barrel, and a tighter trigger (although only marginally better than your usual WASR-10).

My grandfather was lucky to get a couple from the wherehouse before they were all destroyed(the originals that is). I haven't fired it in a long time but I don't remember firing another rifle that even comes close.

The M16 is another nice rifele but I wish they just issued AR-15s instead. I liked the feel much better. I remember being really stoked when we got to fired 16s in Basic Training but I just didn't like the feel. Ended up missing expert marksman by two shots in Basic and by one shot when I recertified a couple years back.

Bleh, I'm not a fan of the Stoner system. If anything, I prefer bolts over everthing except FALs. Gimme a PU Mosin Nagant instead of an M16 anyday. ;)

Mine broke the Hubble. I forgot to obtain the needed airspace clearance (due to the girth) and there was an accident.

Thing's a bitch to get up in prevailing winds.
