Widescreen versus Fullscreen

CAGiversary!
Can someone please tell me whether or not DVDplanet or Deepdiscount DVDs come exactly as specified on their website with respect to the aspect ratio of the movies including anime and animation DVD?

I personally would only buy widescreen versions unless of course the film was never ever released in widescreen. But I tend to see fullscreen versions flooded throughout deepdiscount DVD.

Is this always accurate? In other words, do you receive the same format as that listed on their website?

Is there anyway to ensure that when I order, I get the exact version (i.e. widescreen) that I want?

Example:
Ratatouille: only listed as fullscreen

Surf's up: only listed as fullscreen

*one picture actually shows the widescreen version but is listed as fullscreen

Shrek: all listed as fullscreen (except one)

Widescreen is the way to go. If anything you are future-proofing your dvd's because widescreen tv's are taking over. And those full screen movies look worse on a widescreen tv. You'll have to deal with "black bars" on the left/right sides of the screen or perhaps zoom in to fill the screen.
Also there are not many blu-rays and hd-dvd's that are available on a 4x3 scale.

Most movies that are converted to full screen have the left and/or right side of the original frame chopped off. Movies like Terminator 2 (the previous example shown) may be an exception, but having the left and/or right side of the screen chopped off is far worse than having the top and/or bottom chopped off.
