Wii a major disappointment in one way...first time?
My point is that a major lack of improvement in graphics like this is something new, and I don't think it's too much to ask for a reasonable discussion about that.
There's nothing to discuss though. Wii has less horsepower and it doesn't do hi-def. Why beat a dead horse?

Also, I LAUGH at your notion of the Nunchuck and Wii-mote being "rediculous". Thank god your opinion is less than worthless, or else we might have a problem.
I'm laughing because you can't spell ridiculous when you're quoting someone who can... I'm just enjoying a discussion, why come to the message boards if you don't want to hear differing opinions?

I think you answered my question just by naming the devices.

I'll admit the games could be fun, interesting and exciting with the new terribly named controllers, but I'd love the option (as in DBZ Tenkaichi 2) to switch to classic mode on all games.

People said to me "if it was an option to switch back, nobody would use the new controller", if that's the case, then why is there one in the first place?

Because a simple typo error means I can't spell

Regardless, thanks for your opinion, but it's still worth less than zero.

I wasn't going to post anything in the Graf-X Debate Thread, but then this happened:
You're right, its NOT about graphics. Like it doesnt matter what a woman looks like, as long as she has a kind heart.
Quoted for hilarity.

I wasn't expecting a graphical overhaul from the GC to the Wii, so graphics are about where I expected. I think they will be able to do better, but we probably won't see as many graphically impressive games on the Wii as the other systems, unless, they are first party or exclusive titles. (sp., grammar, I'm sleepy)

I am 29 and have been playing games for 25 of those years. I play my DS more than any console right now and have a ton of fun doing it. I started with Pong.

What's the first thing everyone asks when a new system comes out????? How are the graphics..........I get tired of that crap.

This is my saying for the current "next" generation. I have gotten to a point in my life where I don't care how the hooker looks but if she makes me have fun she gets my cash.

Graphics can only get you so far and I am tired as a gamer of playing what seems like different themed versions of Monopoly. It is rare these developers actually take a chance to make a good game.

For the first time in years after owning every damn game system on the market I had an urge to go back and play my Wii.

1080P, This engine that engine, it really doesn't matter. Sit back relax and ask yourself if the game is fun. If the answer is yes it shouldn't matter how many floating texels the mip mapping processor can rotate.

To end this, I am not a fanboy either.

Thanks to LarryGe for posting this link, where IGN agrees with pretty much everything I fucking said.

No one is disputing that the Wii lacks the graphical bells and whistles of its competitors, but that doesn't mean that Wii games have to look worse than Xbox or GameCube games. Nevertheless, several Wii games do. Compared to Far Cry Instincts on the Xbox, Far Cry Vengeance looks fairly awful. Textures everywhere lack detail, and the framerate often dips below 30 fps. Furthermore, the overall polygon count is quite low, making for some awkward looking enemies and environments.
